Have any of yall seen, heard of or done this? I first saw a video on Facebook about a year ago and completely forgot about it until seeing a video last week. I've got my uncle in on it and we're going to try it, this weekend hopefully. We just have to figure out how to build a "furnace" if you will to melt the aluminum. The basic process is to melt aluminum and pour it into an anthill, let it cool/harden and then dig it up and the aluminum forms to the tunnels within the anthill down below. http://www.anthillart.com/
How do the ants feel about this? I am fairly certain that if y'all isn't in your vocabulary you are not going to see the fun in chasing ants with melted beer cans.
Just wait until the government catches wind of this and then they make you buy an ant tag for each ant you kill
I thought the same thing. Here in NC, the entrance to the ant hills are very, very, small so I'm not sure how to get the aluminum in there. Maybe push a broom stick in it the day before, let them fix it and calm down then try?
