Another "What is this Animal" thread

    This pic was taken on my trail cam over a fresh mineral site. The minerals stretch out in a 4' x 4' circle. This was taken in Northern Wisconsin in the Cheq Natl Forest. I'm pretty sure I have this one figured out. Note: There are no domestic dogs anywhere near this area.........

    That would be the worlds biggest coyote if it is. Looks like a wolf to me.

    I'd still like to see a photo of a deer to get a size reference.

    The more I look at it the less I think it's a yote or wolf. Hair seems too short, seems to be lacking color variation in it's coat, etc...

    My initial thought was Great Dane, but he said no domestics in the area.

    At this time of the year... I would go with wolf without its winter coat. The picture is of poor quality, however can see a little of the color variation in its coat by the neck.
