While hunting this fall we saw turkeys on our property for the first time since we've owned it (roughly 6 years). I know nothing about turkey hunting but would love to start.

My question is, is there anything I can plant (or do) to keep the turkeys around? We have clover and brassicas in our plots right now, but do they prefer anything in paticular?

On a side note, this property is in deep woods, no farm fields for 10 miles or more in any given direction.

Honestly, for the most part turkeys won't move "that" far. I can't speak for the turkeys where you are, but the winter wheat fields here are pretty much game on when April roles around. Primarily because they're good strutting zones and the fields make it easy to find insects and green sprigs.

    You have:
    Turkeys
    Food Source
    Strut Zone
    Roost

Now all ya need is the license ;)
