PT, I have 4 of these stands Loggy Bayou Pro... you absolutely can't beat them (especially for the price). As far as the sticks, I'm a fan of the Lone Wolf sticks. Having an extra 12" of stick on my back doesn't bother me because the stick still isn't as long as the stand. Don't forget bh.com sells the sticks!!!

I've killed several deer with this combination, 4 sticks and the stand are still lighter than my climber and so much more versatile...

X2, the Loggy Predator Pro stands with the camo dip are sweet for the coin and the Lone Wolf sticks are solid.

I walk in the middle also, I did not notice the noise until the 4th time I used them. I am going to work on them this winter to take care of the noise.

As for height to get 20 feet you need at least 5 of them. I have got the spacing down pat now and can get 20 ft no problem with 5. I all honestly I don't think the noise is going to run any deer off.

I like the way the pack on the stand myself. I attached them a bit different than most I think and it worlds great. I bought the clips that hold them also, they are a dream setting up. THe rope cam system is the fast, simple and secure.

Thanks so much, Guys ... I am starting my homework as I need to make a decision so the fam can order them for christmas :D

The sticks are between the LW and Muddy

The hang-ons ...still up in the air with multiple Loggy's getting serious consideration or 1 LW or Muddy

oh, and I will have them order them from here .... do they have gift certificates here?

Then you'll be getting Lone Wolf's as Muddy only sells from their site......big mistake IMO.

I bought the Muddy sticks and stand this year too. I'm pretty happy with it,but they are no replacement for my climber. I'm still working out the kinks on a system for getting in and out quickly. I have not used it as a run and gun system yet because I'm just not comfortable that I can get in and out quietly enough to make it worthwhile. I have not had the issues with noise that the others have mentioned, but I will pay attention next time I hunt that set up.

Personally I think the LW stands are the best hang on out there, but they cost the most too. If cost is not a factor go with the LW stand and whatever sticks will suit you best.

Yes. The elite is ginormous. I believe JZ said you could square dance on it.

You'll love the Alpha. Never again will a buy an aluminum stand that has a tubular design.

I just picked up a set of Muddy Sticks last week and I love them. Very quick and easy to use.

I also bought a Big Game Boss hang-on that was marked down at Scheel's for $39. It also came with a free bow hanger ($15 value). I was going to go for the nicer stand and cheaper sticks, but when I scored the marked down hang-on I went ahead and got the nice sticks.

I got the 4 LW sticks and Loggy Bayou Pro stand and must say I really like this setup. I haven't timed myself yet but once you get it down it is pretty quick.

All my setups are the cheapest i can get...

The 16 foot climbing sticks and $30 hang out stands...

Do you guys who use the muddy/lone wolf sticks really put them on the tree and take them off EVERY time you hunt? I couldnt even imagine..i just go to my stand and climb up.

That was my intent, but I'm not there yet. I know there are some guys that swear by this method. Can't say I'm one of them until I figure out a faster way to get in the tree.

I used to run this train of thought...and for obvious spots I still do. I buy the $35 20 ft stick ladders, and $30 hang ons.

But I can have my Muddy sticks and Loggy stand set in 15 minutes tops. For afternoon hunts, it's awesome! I have more spots than stands, and hunting out of state required me to buy a mobile setup, but I now use it around here as well. I already own it, might as well save from buying new stands.

My new favorite setup is leaving only the 20 ft stick ladders out where I want them, and carrying in my Loggy stand...I can set it in like 30 seconds when I get there, and I don't have to worry about theft or others hunting my spots.

Also, add up the number of those cheap setups you have and their total cost...Now compare that to $225 for a completely mobile setup (Loggy Stand, 5 muddy sticks, GWW straps, and even a Muddy Cushion). This setup is good for infinite spots (even more so than a climber), while the others are limited to the number of stickladders you have. If I KNOW where I will be, I leave a stick ladder there for convenience...but having that back up sure is nice!
