2 weeks and 1 game into the season... The 6th top 10 team falls (I think it's the sixth?.. VT, OSU, USC, MISS, OU and OK STATE)... Am I forgetting any? Those experts sure are awesome with their worthless preseason rankings...
should be at least 3 weeks before that happen, we've got UK and Arkansas before we play any real credible teams... then we get Ole Miss, S. Car., UT, and LSU back to back... if we make it thru that, well, we will have earned a spot in the top 2
in the SEC, almost every team is credible when playing another SEC team... cmon, the gators had a rough time wtih the Vols didn't they??
I just like hearing a Bama fan admit it. :D I'm just messing with ya. [And I agree with your comment.]
In my opinion Ole Miss wasn't deserving of a top 5 ranking. I thought they were highly overrated coming into the season. I still think they'll have a great year once Snead gets it going and I think they'll win 10 games. But, while this was an upset, I was really wasn't too surprised.
Ole Miss was severely overrated. They were hot at the end of last season and everyone expected big things from them with all the returning play makers. The problem is they are only about the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC west. Bama and LSU are better teams and I think Auburn will give them a run for their money. Snead's draft stock is dropping like a rock! I hope he can turn things around.
Well those talking heads are predicting an upset this weekend with Iowa. Weather is going to be bad, will be a white out, but who knows.
Yeah, we'll see. I'm actually very indifferent this year for some reason. Paterno says there's no reason to use the word revenge in football, but man, they certainly let loose on MS last year in the final week. They made them look like a joke (granted MS wasn't a powerhouse, but Penn State ran them into the ground), so it's possible if they get the momentum and the fans stay in it as well. It's deafening (literally) in that stadium at times.
Sorry Phillip, but Tenn. will get no love from this side...football respect, maybe...but never love. I am torn between Auburn and Tennessee as who to dislike more. I am in agreement that ole miss was over rated. The dang "experts" have been trying to stuff this guy (snead) down heisman voters throats for a few years. He does not impress me at all...I would pretty much say he sucks. If he was playing his home games at Bryant Deny, I would jump off a very high roof.
Boise State, my little mid major team from Idaho may sneak in again this year if they run the table! I hope the big dogs keep falling!
i like BSU, but even if they run the table the teams with 1 loss in the big ten and sec will beat their asses in the rankings (but that's another argument) and even if they did get lucky enough to make it to the championship game they would likely get creamed... their strenngth of schedule is just horrible in comparison
