This weekend will be the best matchup of the year, including any national championship scenario possible, unless....

Let's just go with what ifs here.

What if LSU and Bama play a very close game with a tight margin of victory.
Oregon knocks off Stanford before seasons end.
Either K-State or Oklahoma knocks off Ok St.
Boise goes undefeated because, well they are Boise and they play Jucos out west.

Here is my question, does a one loss Bama/LSU end up on top of undefeated Boise for a title shot?

    What says you guys?

Also I find it humorous that 2 weeks ago we were talking about this being the year that the BCS would implode having several undefeated major conference teams left. It looks now like 2-3 undefeated teams is more likely, with an annual SEC team and Boise making the cut. Wonder what ESPN will say now...

Let me see how many players get suspended this week from LSU, and then I will make a prediction.

Wisconsin screwed the pooch this year. They had a shot.

Yeah they are toast. Great team but you gotta win to get a shot, and they let the ball drop twice now.

I'd say LSU will be fine regardless of who is suspended as shown last week against Auburn.

Every year is Boise's year to claim they got screwed out of their chance they deserved. Will this year be the biggest bend over of them all by letting two SEC teams repeat their game or will Boise get a shot?

Personally, I think it's a non issue as either Stanford or OK St will end undefeated and they assume the title game. What Ifs are still fun regardless.

I don't think Oregon will beat stanford, also I don't think the bama/lsu game will be close, bama wins big.

To answer the question, no I don't think whoever looses this game gets a shot, my reason is because whoever wins this game will be in the national championship.

Also, did Clemson have and blow their chance with a loss to ga tech?

Oregon Stanford is a hard matchup to call IMO.

Clemson MAY have had a shot going undefeated, but whatever chance they did have they most certainly blew with that loss.

Your middle statement was the point of my thread. Whoever wins LSU Bama will go to the title game. Who is left for the second slot then? IF Stanford and Ok St drop a game, that leaves only one undefeated team (that matters) in Boise St. Everyone else has one loss, and you would HAVE to chose an SEC one loss team (only loss to the team in National Title Game) over any other one loss team right?

It would be an interesting scenario that would leave most of the country pissed either way. I do think if an SEC rematch happens it would be the two best teams in the land (point of the national title game, no?) but I'm not sure it could/would even happen in the first place.

If I had to guess it would be Bama/Oklahoma St in the title game at this point, which would be a pretty good matchup IMO.

Stayed up all night hopeing USC would pull the upset...Didnt happen:(

My predictions right now is Bama vs a one loss team. Stanford and the Ducks will be a good game(hope the ducks pull it off). Boise will not get to the title game because SOS. And Okie Light will not beat OU....hear the same thing every year about how good they are and I agree this they are Bad@$$ but there not going to beat big brother. I have a feeling OU with jump the ducks in the BCS tonight and make them #6. Still have alot of football to be played. This is why college football is the greastest sport to watch. My only hope is if OU does not make the title the we get to play the Hogs in a BCS game....

Being a Georgia fan, and an SEC fan I would like to see an all SEC championship.......but I don't think they (BCS) would do that. That's what I was meaning, that whoever wins is in, obviously if they win out....and whoever looses gets the shaft to another bowl game.

All the conference changes that's going on, maybe Boise should look at a change?

I don't think it's Boise overlooking change, id say it is the major conferences over looking Boise.

Who would be picked for the game if no Boise and everyone else has 1 loss?

i would guess Stanford, baring they only have 1 loss. I think the Luck and Heisman talk would see to that....

ok Wisconsin fans who is your special teams coach? Because that guy needs to be fired, two punt blocks the last two weeks. Both the plays cost Wisconsin the games IMO.

You and I both know this is a big 10 dominated board. All the local boards are about 50/50 on who will win and anyone thinking they can pick this game is nuts. It could go either way and in a hurry.

Will LSU's front 4 keep pressure on AJ....will you guys put 8 in the box and make him throw it to win. can LSU move the ball against the BAMA defense...

Guys, you guys have known me on these boards for awhile and know who I roll with (no pun intended), but the absolute BIGGEST QUESTION MARK in this game is BAMA's kickoff team. Our dang kicker CANNOT get the ball inside the 5 yard line and most returns go to the 30 at least. it has no presented a problem yet, becuase the D just stops them. Well that will not cut it against LSU...Word on the BAMA boards says we could see high kickoff that has to be faircaught everytime, but well see.

I just want to make it known that the Florida Gators used to be a good football team. Yes, it's true.
