Took my boys shooting with my dad this afternoon. One shot with the 30-06 and here's the result: Figured I'd share the good times
That was the first thing that popped into my mind also. Maybe start out with a BB gun. Then start your son out with one also when he is a little bigger. Tim
The 30~06 is set up for a left handed shooter (the old man) and I'm a right handed shooter. It was his new one which has a little more kick than his older one. I was just caught off guard. The important thing was teaching the kids gun and spending time with the family
haven't gotten scope cut by a rifle but hit myself in the head with a 44 magnum when i was 13. way different then the 9mm i was used to.
Nothing teaches shooting is fun like smacking yourself in the face with a scope:D Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I am just going to come out and say it. Teach the kids right or don't teach them at all. Screwing around with little kids and high power is good way to screw them up for life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a nice scare on my head from that. Sighting in at 100 and completely forgot to hold the front of the gun. Ali it on the bag set the crosshairs on the X and whack! Split me open.
The kids shot the .22 and in the picture a .17 HMR I was just letting them shoot the .22/.17 and stopped with the high power after scoping myself, cause you're right, do it right or not at all.
My mistake. I was under the impression the kids were shooting the high power with the ear protection and the one had their finger on the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's fine. I always appreciate insight. It does look like the high power and their fingers were on the triggers, but my cousin was snapping pictures as we were shooting.
I'd be a liar if I said that hadn't happened to me once. 7mm mag tho, thankfully no scar and just a nice bruise with a little open skin
