So my wife hasn't been feeling well the last couple days. Fever, horrible headache, etc. She made an appointment for this AM and went in. Blood work, a spinal tap and tests later and she apparently has some form of encephalitis. They are not sure whether it's bacterial or viral as of yet, but she'll be in the hospital overnight and most likely into Friday. Could be from a mosquito or possibly a tick. We'll know more as the test results come in over the next couple days. The good news is that the pain meds she's on have reduced her headaches, so she's feeling "better". We could use a couple extra thoughts & prayers if you could.

Thanks everyone! Just left her for the night. She's feeling a ton better already. Headache is almost gone, fever & heart rate are reduced. She's in pretty good spirits, all things considered. Not sure we'll hear much tomorrow, but we'll keep our fingers crossed that the lab work doesn't take too long. I'll update when we hear something.
