Another one. What would you pay for a 2014 helim mint bare?

The last year Mathews released the Helim was 2013. New in box unregistered I would say 550 to 600. Fair price for used about 500. Just my opinion. Remember the new Z2 msrp is 849 so might find that for around 700 or less. Different bows I release but one is brand new while the other is 2 years old.

In reality its all a matter of what you want to pay for it.

I am not a fan of the Helim even though I really like Mathews. I know a number of people who bought that bow that sold it soon after to buy bows from other companies and say they will never buy another Mathews they hated it so much.

I've heard the same thing from some people I know, as well as a Mathews dealer. In fact, I haven't heard anything good at all about the helim.

Interesting. I own a Heli-m and I prefer it over a creed. It's been very good and I love it.

As an FYI I paid $600 bare bow a year ago

I have shot them both and owned a Creed XS. A lot of people did not like the helim because they said it was too light. At that I said wait is that not why they called it Helim. But the bow overall is not bad if its too light then get a heavier stabilizer. But before you buy any bow you need to shoot it. 600 is a big investment for anyone and you should make sure you get what you want. No brainer there I know. So I have to ask what are you looking for and why the interest in the helim?

More or less getting a feel for used mathews nowadays. comparing years and models. I have shot many but with many others opinions I can get a general consensus for the market.

Gotcha, that makes sense. Good luck and if you are looking for anything in particular let me know and I'll do what ever I can to find something for you too.

Of course. That's how I can say "I prefer it over the creed".

I love that it is light and not very tall. It makes it perfect for when I'm backpacking a climber into the woods. It also makes it so I can sit in tighter spaces in trees if need be. I shoot a #70 28" Heli-m and I'm 5'9". I have a 6" stabilizer on it (or at least I think its that long). I really just enjoyed the way it pulled and felt in my hands while shooting.

But not one bow is perfect for every person. I also feel I got a very good deal ($9xx fully built Heli-m vs $999 bare new creed) and it worked for my budget. I'm an everyday guy bow hunter I don't need a new bow every year or a flashy new name. Find your budget, find the bows in it and shoot the heck out of the choices till you figure out what fits you best.

But either way $600 is a fair price to ask
