Hi everyone! I am 52 and just started bowhunting in the last year. I gun hunted all the time as a kid and killed my share of rabbits and squirrels but never a deer. I have a nice bow and the Lord graciously laid access to a small tract of land I can hunt on. What kind of advice can you guys share with a novice? Thanks and God bless!

Like the old man says just have fun with it. We have lots of deer so the opportunity will come in time. Patience is a virtue so take your time and wait for the right shot. Good luck!!
Above is good and having fun is better. Just being in the woods, experiencing nature and the chase of everything is worth it.
Welcome! When I started out I could shoot good in the yard but come unglued when I'd get a shot. Sometimes I couldn't even remember what pin I had used. So when I practiced I started saying to myself when I got to full draw (hand, lip, nose, pin, spot). Hand- relax bow hand, Lip- kisser button in corner of lip, Nose- string touching nose, Pin- pick a pin, and Spot- focus on spot where I want the arrow to hit. Seemed to help me. Form seems to be the biggest thing to me. You have to be able to repeat it every time. Just shoot like your a machine. As far as hunting goes (if your in a tree) bend at the waist. Otherwise your form may be off. Also know your yardage before you climb up. Before there were range finders I would just step it off before hand. Hoped this helped. Good luck!
