I use 4" 4 fletched feathers. 95% of my bow kills have been complete pass throughs.

Mine are Goldtip 3555 traditionals full lenght shaft 100gr brass insert with 125gr heads and 2 lenghts of line trimmer cord to bring up the weight (620gr's) 21% FOC.

I do have some 220gr heads on order for the same arrows but will drop the line trimmer cord. This set up will be 20gr's lighter (600gr's) but with an FOC of 38%:D

With trad gear you really want a lot of weight up front, it helps the arrow stabilize quicker(for better arrow flight), gives better momentium and hits real hard.

Steve uses the FMJ's but I am unsure what he has up front so don't get me lieing:p

Here is a link to some interesting reading.

Just about all Dr Ashby's reports are posted there.

Depends Archery Stalker what your trying to achieve. I shoot FMJ's, 340's to be exact. My arrows weigh In at 685 grains with an FOC of about 19%. I wish my FOC was higher In that 24% range. My set up as follows Is...

4" 4 fletched 31" 340 FMJ's using a 100 grain brass Insert tipped with a 160 grain glue on Snuffer with a 43 grain aluminum adapter glued In the Snuffer to attach that to the brass Insert. Total broadhead weight Including the brass Insert and adapter Is 303 grains.

I'm shooting carbon express Heritage 150's cut to 30", 3 fletch 5" LW helical, onestringer wraps, classic index nocks w/inserts, 50gr Brass inserts, 150 grain Snuffers, Woodsmans and Stingers as well as weedeater line for added weight! My arrows come in at 600 grains!

I have some 100 grain brass inserts which I'm going to give a go when my new bow arrives!

Jeff, I'm assuming a Kwik-lok is an arrow holder?? I had an arrow drop one time from my stand, my nock fit is just snug enough for this not to happen any more! :)

I was told you'll have an arrow fall off you bow while on stand once! :o

I'm shooting the Alaskan Bowhunting Supply Grizzly Sticks the Alaskan spine has 140 grains of brass insert with a 145 grain head, the Sitka weight have a 100 grain insert with the same 145 grain head. Both have 3 x 5" shield cut full helical feathers. I haven't shot anything with them yet and I don't know the total arrow weight but they're real heavy and I'm pretty certain they're going clean through anything they come in contact with.
