I have been saying it all year, FLA just isn't very good this year (for FLA standards).

OSU doesnt deserve to be number one. Plain and simple. Im from Ohio, but I hate OSU with the passion. I grew up in Tennessee so I bleed orange through and through. All I hear in Ohio is how good the Big 10 is. I swear most Ohioans are oblivious to the fact that there are other conferences out there until they get beat every year by the SEC. But somehow the forget in 10 minutes who they just got beat by.

If they vote OSU number one i might just stop watching football all together. I know its going to happen though. You tell me one team OSU has played. And I mean an actual contender. And when the BCS comes out, the only reason OSU will be in the front is because the AP and Coaches poll account for 2/3 of the system.

I think they should rename the Big 10 to the Little 10. Because they have 10 teams that haven't contended for years now and 1 that is way overrated because they play in that conference. Yes for those who dont know there are 11 teams in the Big 10 and will be 12 when Nebraska joins next year.

    Such hate in your post....

So let's see your top 5.

FYI the AP poll isn't included in the BCS formula ;)

Apparently, strength of schedule doesn't rank super high, either.

I told some of you guys pre-season, that FSU would be coming back into power. They have done it two years before I predicted.

Sorry, forgot that they use the Harris poll instead of the AP poll. Which does it really matter. These 140 some odd people are the AP. Just a bunch of former players, who in some way shape or form covered football, and sports writers.

I will give you my top 5, but its of the best teams, not just teams with the best record.Teams that Im pretty sure could compete any day and usually come out on top.

    5. Ohio State - Only because record does have to account for something
    4. Arkansas - They got beat by a very good Alabama team.
    3. TCU - Yes, they are a MWC team but they have a high powered offense.
    2. Alabama - Only reason they are two is because they lost.
    1. Oregon - Very good team. However I think Alabama would win head to head 3 out of 4 times.

I still think Alabama is the best team out there. The biggest reason I think they lost, and I hate to say this, is Steve Spurrier. The man is a genius. I feel dirty now. Forgive me Vols fans for saying that. However I do not think South Carolina would be able to do it again.

EDIT: 5 place would be tie between a few more teams. Standford, South Carolina, Michigan State, and Auburn all deserve it more than OSU. We will see if I eat my own words come MSU - OSU matchup.

They really aren't. The coaching staff needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror about the direction their program is heading. It's not great to be a Florida Gator these days.

IF TP can throw the ball like he did on Saturday, OSU is going to be tough to beat. Moving Saine to slot really has made a difference IMO. That move was a great move by Tressel.

We (MSU) don't play Ohio State this year. We stand a good chance of going undefeated if we can get past Iowa.

elation to deflation in 2:37, I was quite pissed last night. I also still think that was a forward pass and an incomplete from the holder to the kicker

I really like Trey Burton however...he's like a cross between Leak and Tebow. Hoping he steps up and starts to take over.

I think he could be a great option QB, he can run, and 6 TD's against Kentucky, kids got some talent.

Brantley is one dimensional and nobody has to defend against him running.

I didnt even check the schedule. I just figured they would. Im pretty sure they did the past couple years. But Imagine that. That means there is no one else standing in OSU's way this year. Oh well, They will lose in the title game, like they usually do.

Fun fact Since 1990 The Big 10 only has won the National Title twice. Michigan and OSU. The SEC has 8. Alabama has 2, Florida has 3, LSU has 2, Tennessee has 1. This just goes to show that OSU has failed to back up their early season ranking every year.

Brother, we are talking about the Gators here. With a young QB at that (starts wise). They will be back, not that they went anywhere. They are still a very good team when you look at the over all college football landscape.

They just have enormous shoes to fill, their own. I do not think there is another university in the nation with as much talent on their overall roster as the Gators. Let that talent mature a bit and they will be back to laying the wood to their opposition again in no time.

I am not sure I have saw a person with so much hate, over college football....

I wish everyone well and let the best teams rise to the top of the pack, no matter the conference or team.

I guess I am just a college football fan (secondly after an tOSU fan).

From where they have been the last few years, they are getting back to where they are going to be a serious threat to anyone. They will break into the top 20 this week without a doubt with a whipping on Miami. I predicted they would be a serious problem for other big time teams in two years, they might achieve even faster than that given their progression this year.

The SEC is on the outside looking in this year. The next two weeks will help settle the SEC west, with Arkansas playing Auburn next weekend and LSU at Auburn the following weekend.

The best teams? Or, the teams with the best records?
