I'm pretty set on getting a lone wolf stand and stick combo. But I'm not sure if I should hope ups will deliver me an alpha in time for my next hunt. Or if I should go with an assault that I can buy in store since they are not backordered. Any input would be greatly appreciated I'm thinking I should plan on waiting for the alpha but I'm uneasy because the public land I hunt is rough with my climber. I have maybe two more local trips before my trip to southern IL trip thats in two weeks. I really want to put meat in the freezer before I go south so I can focus on taking a buck. I'm just not sure but if there is one thing I can count on its bowhunting.com members for great info.

I'd be getting an Assault if I were building a run and gun setup anyhow. When your gonna be moving it all the time, I'd personally sacrifice a bit of room for less weight.

I like the Assault better as well.

Depends, if you like the larger platform and larger more comfortable seat I would get your first choice. I saw that LW Alphas are out of stock for the season from the company. I would order from Cabelas or one of them if you can't find one in a store near you. If your waiting for backorder you probably will be waiting awhile. Find one in stock somewhere.

If BH.com doesn't have them, I know I see them at our local Gander Mountain all the time; they usually order in tons of them.

The assault is way to small for my likings! I'm VERY mobile and have no problem with the Alpha!

I think I'm gonna spend some time on the phone today and locate a alpha in store. After looking at the stand pics I saw that the assult has a fairly large taper in the platform. Glad I saw that because I was set to get the assult by looking at the dimensions compared to the alpha only 2.5 inches different on paper. Thank you for the input I would have been going crazy trying to figure this out with your help
