Five mile run, five mile bike ride this morning. I haven't been as consistent on the bike the last few weeks so I'm feeling that one a little bit today.

Another 5 mile run and bike ride today. It was tough in this humidity.

Tale of the tape this morning. I got up and kinda had some leg cramps going on. I'm thinking maybe just skip the workout today. But no, out the door I go at 0615. I started the first mile and felt fatigued. Kept going and by the second mile I'm feeling pretty good. I get to the third mile and I'm feeling great so I step up the pace quite a bit. By the end of mile 3 I'm starting run down a bit, I figured it must be the humidity beginning to take it's toll. Anyway I finished the five miles not feeling to bad. I hop on the bike and take off hard. I went hard till the end, came home and seriously thought I was going to pass out. I really think the heat and humidity take alot more out of us than we realize. Oh well, tomorrow's another day. Stay after you killers!

I hear you Jim. I rode my bike a few miles yesterday, then walked a mile or two while fishing. It was so humid and after a few hours I was worn out!

Took today off, pretty sore all over. I love when you take a day off, it just resets and gets ya motivated to get after it. I cannot wait for tomorrow. I am chomping at the bit for squats.

Another hike, this time with 20lbs instead of 35lbs, I picked up the pace and did 2.4 miles at 20% in 45 minutes. Would have been about 3.3 miles if I had had time for a full hour lunch break.

Sitting on the verge of 240lbs every day. I need to knock out 5 more lbs and that will put me at 13 lbs lost since mid May. Slowly but surely at age 46. Ha

Cut sugar, bread, pasta rice, beer, white potatoes and any other high GI carb you can... Other vegetables are fine. Watch for other sneaky sources of sugar, like low fat dressings / sauces...or other unnecessary carbs like breaded fried foods.

That 5 # should be gone in a couple weeks. Not necessarily keto, paleo, whole 30, or Atkins, but seems to be a bit in common...

Rest days are equally (if not more) important as your workouts

Just got a functional trainer to add to my garage! Only have done a couple workouts with it but love the added versatility
