I decided to try the flu diet when I woke up this morning. I’ll let you know how it turns out with 101.1 Degree burn I have going. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Limiting my sugar content has been hard but I've probably reduced it by more than half the last 3 weeks. I've actually gained muscle and not lost a single lb now. Eating more good food and training hard. I need to start slowly reducing my overall calories now that I have solid and consistent energy as opposed to the up and down sugar rich diet. Just did an hour leg workout. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
When I was going hot and heavy on the weight loss portion of my diet, I did 1500 calories and 2.5 hour workouts 5 days a week. Now that i'm in maintenance mode I'm up to 2100 cals. and working out 2 hours three days a week. So far that has maintained my weight for over two years now. Blessings...........Pastorjim
Just got over it last week. Not fun. Drink a lot of Gatorade. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sounds good, Its all about making it sustainable. I think thats what causes the most problems for people. There are thousands of different so called diets to help you loose weight the only problem is most of them aren't sustainable because they don't allow you to understand the process and eat in a way that works long term. You obviously figured that out. Stay after it.
This is something I've a said all along. You have to do something that you can do the rest of your life. Some of these fads that come along may help you to lose weight in the short term but can you live with it long term? I don't restrict any food, just portions. That line is worth repeating. There are no bad foods just bad diets. You can get shredded eating junk food. I wouldn't recommend it but you could.
When people ask me how I lose so much weight and still eat junk I tell them I don’t eat junk when losing. I eat super clean to get to my desired weight or goal. Then you can mix whatever in to maintain. MODERATION is the key. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I hear you. If your going to get lean and stay that way the bulk of your diet will end up being healthy choices. The beauty of tracking macros is being able to mix in whatever I want and still hit my macros and stay on track. I don't have to demonize certain food groups. If I want to eat Oreos or pizza I can as long as I don't bust my macros in the process. Like you said moderation is key.
Do you make bullet coffee? Got a recipe for it? I don't do keto but have heard good things about bullet coffee
Was feeling fat and bloated from another week on the road, then I made the tactical error and ordered chicken fingers for supper. Yeah deep fried battered food is promptly rejected, technicolor yawn from that yackted my guts out.
Another week down another pound down. Scale is looking good, mirror not so much. Definitely lost a little mass in the fall when I was sick. Stay after it guys.
At 50 years old, I am 4 weeks into what I hope to be a lifelong change for the better. My wife and I hired a personal trainer and she is working with us on both workouts and nutrition. So far, it has been an amazing start. The workouts are very manageable in both time and effort and the diet at this point is basically watching calories and trying to make healthy choices. I am only down about three pounds, but my body fat is down several percentage points and I have gained several pounds of muscle. I feel better already and thanks to a stronger core, my back is totally pain free. I have lost 3/4" of waistline and my clothes are fitting better. She had us get the TRX system to install in our home gym and I am really loving it. Such an easy piece of equipment that has an endless amount of exercises. Maybe the best hundred bucks I have ever spent. I actually look forward to the workouts and feel great about our decision to get fit for life. We both want to be active in our retirement years and decided that now is the time to start that journey.
Fletch have you ever considered getting into cycling? Yeah the outfits are a bit goofy and it's expensive to get into but in my opinion it's one of the best ways to shed pounds and get into shape. I hope to get 1,000 miles in this year.
