Spin class today, not gonna lie, I'm already a tad sore. Sprints, heavy climbs and hops for 50 minutes.

Did an upper body lift on Monday. Tuesday I hiked 3.5 miles with a 35 lb pack on a 7.5% incline on the treadmill.

Ran 1.25, walked 1.5 miles. And did 250 pushups along the way. I had basically no pop in my legs and it was hot and humid. I need to get some good food for a few days.

This may have been answered somewhere already, but what exercises does everyone do specifically for archery/shooting their bow? what about exercises to hold your bow steadier?

I have done some cable rows and frankly any sort of row would probably help. My favorite is just shooting my bow.

I try to do rather holistic arm /shoulder workouts. Also getting lats, tris, bis, delts.

Periodically, I'll also add some shoulder band exercises and shoulder rehab exercises for the small muscles.

I'll also shoot probably 20-50 shots a day (for about half the year, weather permitting). Later in the season with a full quiver.

@cantexian can probably offer some more specifics and/or links.

Start with this. I will try to update some more videos. If you are on instagram @archerystrong is a great account to follow for shoulder health. The guy is sharp and everything is focused on being a better bowhunter.

I just hiked with a 20lb pack at a 3 to 5% incline. Took me 30 min to get to the 2 mile mark! Your hike have left me lifeless. Haha. I'm inspired to do more. Thanks for the workout tip.

You are close to matching my pace. I typically get 3.7-4 in 60 minutes with a 30-35lb load. As season approaches, and during, I lighten my loads and focus on more incline at a faster pace.

I haven't worn a belt in years... Had to buy some because it's gotten embarrassing walking around the grocery store hitching up my pants. Also walking out of my hunting gear...lol

3.7 miles today with 30 lbs. Started at 5% incline and added 0.5% every five minutes to finish at 10%. Working my way into doing 10% the whole time.

Good week at the gym. I was able to get the 110lb DB’s on Inc DB press for a few clean reps. 115’s I see you...

Did a little more cardio this week including 20 miles on the bike and a session on Jacobs ladder which was brutal.

    stay after it!
