Good stuff, Cantexian I have your card work out penciled in for tomorrow. I swapped out the single leg bridges for pike push ups. Should be fun, I'm looking forward to doing something different.
Been doing push ups, pull ups, chin ups, and sit ups challenges with some guys from work. I cut back on the running a little bit, ran 3 on Saturday and 4 miles today. Hit 1000 push ups in one day last Friday. Hopefully going to hit a 1000 sit ups/day this weekend.

    Stay after it guys!

I put the singe leg bridges in there specifically for building hip strength with heavy packs in mind. But, whateves, not all of us are meant to carry out both hind quarters of an elk in a single trip.

Good luck, that one is always harder than it seems conceptually.

Should start having links to some of the workout videos I filmed for work ready by the end of the week.

It was definitely harder than I had anticipated. The cards never go my way and I ended up having a few minutes that were wicked. Of course my deck of cards didn't have any jokers so I ended with two minutes of burpees...not cool.

Bridges are good and I have definitely noticed some imbalances there when I was training for a half last spring. I'm still buying points for elk in WY but need to get out west and get after them while I am able. Memento mori.

Took a run and then did some sprints. Crazy how I've lived from Hawaii to VA and back, and just found out a few yrs ago that my dads side of the family arrived in VA 300 yrs ago....in this creek, which is less than a mile from where I work. Wild. Took a run here today.

Got a pair of Dumb Bells, a Jump Rope and 20 minutes? You can do this.

Went for a 30 minute bike ride with the family on my lunch break. I pulled the toddler in one of those bike cart. Just took a 10 minute break from work to do 10 straight minutes of step ups in the garage. I may do some yard work this afternoon for the neighbor. Probably will take the typical evening hike/walk the dog after dinner.

I bought my first points in WY for antelope and elk last summer. The plan is to hunt antelope in WY this fall/scout for elk , keep building elk points until 2022. I should have enough by then to draw a decent general unit tag.

Had to go into the office today to do some work I cannot do from home. Hit deadlifts for sets of five at 135, 185, 225, 250, 275, 300. Sets of 3 at 325 and 350. Then did 25 pull ups. Filming some more exercise videos this afternoon.

Averaging about 4 days a week working out. Been consistent for a long time now. Today I tried to get in my 5th run in about 12 days. Little too much for my left knee. So I just walked 6 miles.

Added an hour long bike ride after work with the family to the deadlift workout and video filing I did yesterday. I towed the toddler in one of those pull behind carriers up to the top of the Big Dam Bridge across the Arkansas River. That is about a 200 foot elevation gain over 300 yards on bike pulling 50lbs. I had to motivate myself to make it so I started screaming "I eat 15000 ft mountains for breakfast! I eat 15000 ft mountains for breakfast!" all the way to the top. Is it time to chase elk again?

Strong Squats and deadlifts, looking good in the pants you wear, it all starts with paying attention to the finer details. Simple exercises yield big results. These exercises here are why I can deadlift 400lbs.

Yesterday I hiked 45 minutes with a 60lb pack then did a sandbag workout and ran sprints in the afternoon. Played basketball with my kids. I am a little sore today.
