Got back in the gym today after taking a week off at the beach. Went right back at legs. Squats. Was good to be back. My 10 yr old wanted to hang out and she actually did some plyos and leg lifta . She is awesome and is gonna be a good little athlete.

Ran 1 mile then walked 1.5 miles to the gym. Did 10 fast sets of chest, back, and shoulders, then ran 1 mile and walked 1.5 miles home. 80 degrees outside. I'm a little spent.

Weighed in at 206.5 this morning, which breaks the 40lb mark total!

Everything is starting to stabilize with the diet and exercise plan, and now with shed season in full swing you could say things are getting serious :)

Ran 3 miles, biked 5, 150 situps, 60 pull-ups, and 60 pushups. Felt weak when I started but by the end I felt like I could do more. I stopped anyway. Stay after it boys!

This morning's trek was ran 3 miles, biked 5 miles, 100 push-ups - a new high, 60 pull-ups, and 200 sit-ups! And yah I'm probably bragging a little but I am 64 yrs old, so humor an old man.

Weighed in today at 206.5, Last firday was 210.2 which means I hit it a little too hard this week, which my body was telling ym very loudly last night. Texted my coach and she is going to remove my gym cardio during shed season, up my food slightly, and remove a lifting day. She said she was also concerned I was going too hard but wanted to see what happens before changing anything.

Ok guys, here's a real world application for getting fit that applies to most of us. I went to my spot in Ohio today to do some camera work. It's been a very wet spring where I live so I didn't take my atv, fearing it would be to wet to drive it back. I carried two trophy rocks in a pack, lugged a twenty pound bucket of minerals, and a bag of corn. I had to carry this for almost two miles to get back to where I needed. Now at 64 and more than 100lbs lost, there is no way I would have ever been able to do this before. I'm just sayin, if you need motivation, let the sport we all love so much enter into that equation. Good luck to everyone out there trying. I know it can be a struggle at times but you CAN do this!

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

This is gonna take me back. I sure as heck can give you somewhat of a small guide on a healthy diet. I live in a pretty small town in England. A few years back I was kinda chubby and hated myself for it. I did love eating and still do but in a much more healthier way. So in the category of food, I always fancied seafood and everything fish related. But whatever I got was covered and soaked in fat. I and my family went to a cafe in another town once where I tried some Caviar sushi. I fell in love with the product and wanted to create a dish of my own back home. Sadly, there was no Caviar in any store in my town, it's not that common here. Was nothing all that serious, my friends told me where they ordered their Caviar and so did I order from https://osetrus.com/ What did I decide to make? Two-Way Smoked Salmon And Caviar Pate. After that dish, I knew that Caviar is something I can eat and not gain weight. After all, Caviar is dietary, rich in proteins, vitamins A, E, D. Now however I am more into Smoked Salmon Canapés. There is a video for you in you're interested:

It amazes me that I fell in love with Caviar and everything fish related just because It wasn't common in my life. Well, now I did lose some weight and am very healthy.

Exercise is the only thing keeping me sane these days. Learned a long time ago...when things go bad, drop the alcohol and ramp up the exercise.

    Jim...awesome stuff at any age!

The last few days I've walked and run a lot to clear my mind. Today I had a ton of work to do around the house and knew I couldnt hit the gym. Throughout the day I've done 250 push ups so far.

I fell off the workout train for about 3 weeks now. Had something come up 2 weeks before my trip to Punta Cana that prevented me from doing really any physical activity. Took a week off last week after the trip because I was sick for 2 straight days.

Back at it today after work. Not going to be focusing on cardio as much and will work on lifting more. Run 1 mile and do my normal weight routine Monday-Friday with focus on my legs/core (slacked on those big time).

I'm guilty of doin little to no cardio or real core work. I do some abs maybe once or twice a week but not as much as should. Which might be why I've basically stayed the exact same weight for past two and half months or so since started working out 3 mostly 4 times a week.

Went to gym for first time in about a week. Was having lower back issues and finally gave in and went to chiropractor today and got it fixed. Was feeling good so went to gym. Did upper body stuff and made sure took it easy on back so mostly chest and arm stuff could do on a bench or while sitting ha. Was nice to get back to gym, depending on how feel tomorrow may try some legs stuff. Think skip deads and squats for another week but we'll see. I'm pretty hard headed and suck at taking it easy to heal.

But good luck guys, keep grinding ha.

Throw some ice on your back and take it easy for 4 to 5 more days. Just walk and stretch.
