Missed a couple days with prep/colonoscopy. Small price to pay for screening.

Leg extensions, leg curls, hack squats, glute bridge machine, walking lunges because I hate them.

    2 miles on the dreadmill

Are you SURE the prep was a small price to pay?!?!?

The whole thing was a breeze. The prep was so easy I was actually afraid it wasn’t going to be good enough and I was going to have to do it again. Worst part was the clear diet. I ate more jello that day than the last few decades of my life combined.

OHP, pull ups, rear delt flys, hypers, knee raises, cable lateral raise, speed bag.

I'm back in the saddle this morning after a weekend of turkey hunting, hiking for sheds, working on food plots, one mediocre ruck, and some spin bike last night to round it out. I got in a solid 30 minutes of "no hands" stair machine, which is a killer by the way. Followed that up with some low rep, heavy (for me) chest work. I did incline bench, dips, and push ups. Nothing crazy, but it felt good to be back in the gym moving some weights around.

30 days to go. Let's finish strong!

I got one big unintentional workout this weekend. Took the kids to the skating rink yesterday. I was out there on rollerblades for 3 hours. Yes i was that middle aged dad reliving his glory days and having a blast. By the end i was soaked from sweat and sore. Cant believe how sore my legs are this morning. Had one bad fall and hit my elbow, and its fine this morning, but tricep muscle is sore.

So glad my kids love the Rink. At the end i had to drag them out of there.

Sunday in the home garage, I added a couple of 45lb rubber olympic plates so I can start getting in some heavier lifts. Sundays are all about explosive power though.

    Power Cleans 4 x 4 @105lbs
    Fronts Squats 4 x 4 @125lbs
    Snatch High Pulls 4 x 6 @125lbs
    Barbell Rows 4 x 8 @125lbs
    Pull Ups 4 x 5 @BW

Unfortunately, as I was unloading the bar after my last set of rows, those new rubber plates are a little slick and it slipped out of my left hand and landed right on my big left toe. I don't think it is broken, as I was able to bend it before it started swelling, but it is pretty bruised and swollen this morning. Weird thing is, I could walk perfectly normal around the house until I put shoes on to leave, now the pressure from the shoes is making me walk with a slight limp.

Thanks, I don't think it is. The more I walk and move around, the better it feels. Hopefully, the bloodflow from movement is taking some of the swelling out of it. Not limping as bad as I was a few hours ago.

    Bench Press 3 x 10 @225

    Rope Face Pull 4 x 12 @70lbs
    Inc DB BP 4 x 8 @60lbs
    Dips 3 x 8 @BW
    Rope Tricep Extention 3 x 8 @60lbs

Normally, I would do 30 seconds of jump rope after each set on this workout, but with the hurt toe, I skipped that today.

I'm a weak sissy and can't put up 2 plates. Well done, sir!

I did smash out 235 flights of stairs this morning and did some leg work after that. I got my leg press up to 568 lbs this morning, so that was nice. Our new leg press machine at the gym actually lists the weight of the sled on it, so you don't have to guess. It weighs 118 lbs, and I had 10 plates on that sucker.

My son has a baseball game tonight, so it looks like I'll be rucking in the cold after dark. I'm kind of looking forward to it in a weird way. It's peaceful after dark when nobody else is around. I just wish I lived in a little more rural area so I didn't have to listen to traffic noise.

2 miles walk 5 MPH on a 10 degree incline, followed up with 2 sets of light wights for arms, shoulders, back and legs.

Really starting to feel my legs coming back.

Another 1.5 miles on a 10 degree incline, and my 90 squats and lunges and my Keagle exercises to help me keep up with the wife.

Used to roller skate but with four wheels on each foot. Loved it! My late BIL went skating. Didn't even get out of the changing area, fell and broke his wrist! Scratched off skating.

I usually hit the roller rink with my kids 2 or 3 times a year and get my roller skating jam on. It can be quite the workout!

This morning I hammered out 237 flights of stairs which has to be close to my PB. Followed with dips, lat pulldowns, bench press and leg press. I tried to hit most of the big muscle groups before the weekend. Tonight I will probably just hike around the lake and I'm going to get up early tomorrow and ruck. Then I have to coach baseball practice for 2 hours and go to my older son's tournament games in the afternoon. Baseball season is officially here.

Saturday I got in my best ruck so far this season - averaged 14:50/mile for 3 miles and enjoyed the sunrise with my doggo. Then I spent a few hours doing yard work and coaching 8 year old baseball.

Sunday I woke up early and got in a workout at home. Warmed up, stretched, then did sit ups, push ups, goblet squats, chest flies, bench press, incline bench and tricep kickbacks. During the break in between my son's baseball games I went on a hike around town.

This morning was back on the stair machine followed by leg extensions, single leg press, calf raises and leg curls. My lats are a little sore from all the push ups yesterday so tomorrow may be cardio-only. We'll see how I feel when I wake up.
