    Day 17 Update.

I weighed 206.1 lbs on Saturday morning, down almost 6.5 lbs in two weeks.

Friday night, I rucked after work for my outdoor workout. Saturday, I worked out at home, then went and trimmed out treestands for a few hours before dark as my outdoor workout. Yesterday I hit the spin bike for 45 minutes in the morning then spent 8 more hours trimming and hanging stands outside. This morning I was back to the gym for 30 minutes on the stairs followed by a light upper body workout - dips, chest flies, seated rows and lat pulldowns.

That is all for now. If you'll excuse me, I have to go pee again.

I've improved my leg strength. Lots of running, hiking, and leg work. Time to start upping my raw strength now.

Good work, I need to get back in the habit of treestand maintenance in the spring as opposed to waiting until the last minute.

I decided it would be a great idea to get a dental implant during 75 Hard. About a decade ago I had a molar pulled due to an issue with a bad root canal, and it was time to get it taken care of at last. So yesterday morning, my dentist cut my gums open, drilled a hole into my skull, then hammered a punch up into the hole to lift my sinus cavity before screwing in a titanium post and stitching me up. I tell ya, you haven't lived until someone is hammering on your skull while you're wide awake. I may have CTE now.

So now I've been spitting out blood for the last 24 hours, and my face is swollen and in a bit of pain, which has made for some enjoyable workouts. Last night was gorgeous outside, so I popped a few extra Advil and took my youngest son and dog for a 3-mile hike around the local lake.

This morning I took it easy with some stretching and resistance band work, a light shoulder/bicep workout and then 30 minutes of flat road on the spin bike. Just enough to break a sweat and get the old man body moving without increasing my heart rate too much.

Tonight I will likely hike again without any weight, then I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow when I wake up. Good times! :)

Got in a pretty hard ride this evening. Have lost a lot of fitness since last August. But over all happy with the speed and distance. I started cramping bad on the last mile, definitely time to finish the ride. Screenshot_20250311_205628_Strava.jpg

My face still looks like I just got in a fight and lost, and I'm in a fair bit of pain so I took it easy again this morning. Stretched and did a few light dumbbell circuits - military press, bicep curls, incline bench press, front raises, side raises, and air squats. In between each circuit I shot my bow a couple of times.

They say days 2 and 3 are the peak of the swelling so hopefully it goes down and my head stops throbbing by tomorrow so I can actually do some work.

I decided to throw my weighted pack on and go for a ruck last night. I didn't push the pace, just went on a steady hike for 3 miles and felt pretty good.

My face felt a little better this morning, so I decided to get up and hit the gym. All of the stair bastards were taken so I hopped on the elliptical for 30 minutes / 3.5 miles. Every time I start to push and get my HR up, it feels like the left side of my face has its own pulse. So I did enough to get my HR up to about 130 and just kept it there.

After that, I did some light arm work - dips, chest flies, and incline presses. Again, not pushing too hard. It's amazing how badly you want to bear down and grit your teeth or push extra air through your mouth when you lift heavy weights - neither one of those are advisable with stitches in there.

Anyone else doing intermittent fasting? Feel like it’s been a big contributor to my weight loss, i stop eating at seven at night and don’t have my first meal until noon the next day. I mainly do it so I don’t snack at night… it sucks the first couple days but once you get used to it, it seems to help cut the weight, especially doing a work out in the AM burning the calories while I’m not intaking any

I've done IF in the past, but not currently. Right now my focus is really just on calories in vs. calories out and getting 150-200 grams of protein/day. I'm generally done eating by 7 pm and don't have my next meal until around 7 am the next day after my morning workout.

Last night, I took a brisk 3-mile hike without the weighted pack then followed it up this morning with 30 minutes on the stair bastard and some light leg work. Leg curls, leg presses, calf raises and single leg presses. Warm and windy here today, but I'll get out after work and ruck before it gets dark. That's the one nice thing about the spring time change!

Time change killed me this week…. I have a two year old and a soon to be year old, they like to wake up around six am, so for me to get my work out in I’m up at quarter to five… hoping next week gets me out of the morning grog
