Well, i finally got a workout in worth posting about. Kind of fell off the wagon the last 3 weeks. I got in a really strong ride last night. Legs are definitely hurting on the last hour.

I might be doing another race this weekend if i recover and feel decent. Its another endurance race 4 hours plus last lap, just lile last one. Screenshot_20240814_122149_Strava.jpg

Been doing the same workouts as last week just higher reps or higher weight. I do 3 weeks of the same with increasing weight and or reps or sets then change the workout. Basically conjugate training

I am feeling great as a non drinking vegetarian, I have stripped my weight down to 163 pounds, I am exercising using the rowing machine and lots of yard labor and hand splitting wood. Training for a scan on Oct 31st. I do have to say I am blessed I was diagnosed with stage 4 liver failure, however, no lesions, no tumors, no cirrhosis and my liver is functioning. They say that there is no recovery from stage 4, watch me do it. Either way I feel better than I have in a year, would have to say I am feeling great, almost strong.

I signed up for the race for tomorrow. I will be doing a 4 hour endurance race again, which i just have to do as many laps i can in that time. Should be similar to my last race.

I haven't been riding much this past month, i got some gout in my big toe, and wrecked on Tuesday and hurt my shoulder alittle bit and its sore. So this should be interesting. Last race of season for me and all thats not going to stop me now!

Sitting here in my truck, 30 minutes til race start. Its pouring rain! Going to add a much higher level of difficulty to the race. Its supposed to stop right around the start, but the trails are wet now. This will be interesting.

Nope not the case like I told my wife I will not dwell on it, I don't want to talk about it just doing what I can to increase my odds of recovery. I will not be at stage 4 on my scan Oct 31st, don't care what the odds are.

Get well man, but don't be stupid. If you need a transplant, so be it...you want to be around for the grands.

Besides, I know a good PA working in a transplant unit.

Bodyweight is a solid about 220. If I can stay around the 220 mark that is a good weight for me. I'd like to be around 210 but for some reason my bodyweight just ebbs and flows around 220. My diet needs to be above avg to sit around 220. Good gauge. Been running hard and adding some weights in a backpack for pushups and stuff. Elbow is feeling a little better and I've consistently been able to do 10 pullups. I'll be 50 in few months. Bring on deer season!

Got the win today! That was one of the toughest races ive done in a while. Not because of the course, but the conditions. It was a complete mud fest. Had a nasty wreck on the 4th lap and thought it might take me out, but i powered thru and still got the win. Feels good to end the bike season on a high note.
