    I got in a much needed longer ride on Tuesday. Ended up joining 2 different group rides to make up my miles. Went thru 3 parks and 2 states. Got some great miles and a fast pace. Felt great. Screenshot_20240606_124235_Strava.jpg

    Got in a long ride last night. Close to 4 hours. Felt ok, not the best I've felt on the bike, but finished the ride strong. Also had my first wreck of the year. Went over my bars and landed on side of trail. Luckily didn't hurt anything, just a few scuf marks on my legs. Screenshot_20240612_080451_Strava.jpg

    Took a 3 week break. Couldn't shake this virus and had zero appetite until Thursday last week. Today was my first day back to the gym and it was not great. Felt good to be there, but not much energy level. Just did arms and shoulders.

    Got a surprisely good ride in last night, even though we are in a heat wave right now. Temps are hitting in the 90's with humidity. Which sucks for working and pretty much anything for out side. I bet I was close to drinking 2 gallons of water between work and bike ride. Also got my first flat in almost 2 years. Quick plug and pumped it up, back on trail in a couple minutes.     Sorry been away for a bit. Not really a fitness update but I'm still in the process for Deputy Sheriff. Passed my board interview and took my polygraph last week. Now the waiting game to hear back if I get an offer of employment.

    I've got 2 solid workouts in this week with hopefully a third tomorrow. I got 237 flights in 30 min this morning followed by pull day. Single arm bent over rows, upright rows, shoulder shrugs and endless rope pulldowns.

    We have walls up and stained. Building the lifting platform for the main squat rack. Our other rack (the rogue one) is mounted to the wall and good to go. The reverse hyper/ghd is in the corner. Treadmill, echo bike, and stationary bike go where I was standing. With stretching and free weights behind me. On the left is where my truck and my hunting, fishing and camping stuff goes. We hung up some antlers and are gonna hang up flags, pictures and other stuff soon. Currently on another work trip so it’s slow going, but almost there.

    Well, on week three of not hearing back on my process. Last time I received a letter in less than a week notifying me that I wasn't chosen to move on. I'm hoping no news is good news. I called the other day and left a voicemail just following up after my polygraph and never got a return call. Still a waiting game.

    Yesterday was speed and explosiveness with lower pull. Main lift was 8x2 pause RDL AT 100% body weight. 1 min rest. Lots of pull ups and weighted lunges as well.

    Had to improvise on cardio since I’m not home (at my cabin in Minnesota) so stair machine.

    Today was heavy strength push upper so close grip bench for the main lift with rows dips pushups and skull crushers. Did the stair machine again for cardio.

    Got in a strong ride yesterday. Think either the heat is messing with me or my legs are still tired from Saturday. But they weren't feeling it. Planned to ride longer, but just stopped alittle early. Ended up with 3 hours of ride time. It's crazy how many calories I burn on a ride like this. Almost 1900 for this one ride.     So guys wish me luck. I just made an appointment to see the Doc first thing tomorrow morning, after I think I had a cardiac event in the garden. You know me nothing is a big deal. Though this one came out of left field and shook me. I actually looked sky ward and yelled " Really!, Really?! You have some sense of humor. Your not even letting me eat one ripe tomatoe? " Got home and looked up signs for womans heart attack. Been having signs for a month. This one was not pleasant and lasted too long.
    Hey, I do a mans type of work at 67 with past injuries what's a stabbing brief pain or dizziness on occation? They said if anything happens between now and morning get to the ER.
