So I'm on day 7 of a personal challenge of 500 push ups a day and it's going great. Not crazy sore but I do notice tenderness at the gym afterwards. As soon as I finish this it's back to hard 75 again. Stay hard

Thats what I'm dealing with right now. I eat around 2500 calories on a normal day. I can maintain at that. But if I want to lose weight, I got to be around 2000 or less. The struggle is real with those kind of calories for me. I got a very physical job, so some days I need the calories just so I don't break down at work. It's a complete juggling act and hard to judge what I need day to day.

How are you spreading these out during the day? And how many days are you going for?

I go until failure then rest a min until 100 then wait a hr or so and repeat. My goal is all of lent so 40 days culminating on Easter.
This week is quite easy as it's incline then next week is flat which should just about kill me. Then back to incline.

Yeah you have an issue for sure. The job is always Uber important to perform and full nourishment is key not just physically but so the mind problem solves quicker etc.

With that said ? Not saying you’re doing anything wrong but sometimes adjusts open doors to possibilities ?

This just me. Not you, me. I’d key on macros in the morning for the job. Lunch more of the same but the carb has to be non glycemic to not crash.

Count up your total calories whatever it might be. Say 3000. Frankly calories don’t matter. Expenditure does. Your job sounds like it’s expending about 2000-2500 calories because you’re flat lining.

So now the hard part. After work you gotta hammer. Hit the weights on a body part routine. Finish with your core. Then off to a run.

When I worked corporate USA i invariably after the gym would do a 3 mile run about 18-20 minutes is all it took after stretching.

I’d then drive to Whole Foods and buy a vegan hot meal. It was getting late, but like3- 4 hours before bed for me. After eating I hydrated myself with electrolytes.

I slept better, woke up better and was sharper at work and more muscular from less body fat.

I do remember I was joint sore and today I know that’s because my supplementation was off on Aminos and electrolytes.

I was 40 ish then. I don’t think I can run like that anymore with my knees. But running was the key. Maybe swimming would work today ?

Burning more calories then in taking. Not easy but it can be done. It’s mind over matter. You don’t mind ? It don’t matter

I get what your saying and thanks for taking the time to post. I'm not on any type of diet persay. I limit my carbs for the most part and try to stick to a carnivore type diet. I don't run because I don't enjoy it, so I mountain bike with the goal to race once and awhile. While biking though my diet goes out the window. I try to eat the most carbs as I possibly can, which is mostly suger based. My goal while riding is 400-500 calories per hour. Usually around 3-4 hour rides. I carb load the night before a big race and load up on protein after. I keep it basic and don't take it to seriously. My diet is ever evolving as I age and find things that work better. I'm alway open to hear personal experiences and willing to try new diet stuff.

I could fix all my problems with one simple change, drop sugers. Which I started this week. Only time I will have suger is during long training rides.

Just a little airbnb place. Nothing fancy, but we don't mind. We spend all day out and about anyway.

That’s cool! We have never done that there. What’s it like renting a car and driving there? We’re pretty comfortable riding bikes around the eastern end of the island between Grace and Long bay.

Might have to give that a look.

We will be up around Smiths reef this time. Renting a car isn't terrible, but driving on the wrong side of the road can be a bit challenging with the multitude of roundabouts. Lol.

Last time we were down on chalk sound. We love it and the airbnb is kind of a different experience. And private.

My Dr told me to gain weight had sugar cookies with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, so good. Right before bed time.
