Would be 500 miles a year each. Like 1.3 miles a day per person. Think it is a fair challenge. Haha.

Oh gotcha. Seems more doable that way. That is a good challenge, it will each of you accountable for there miles and to push each other when someone is slacking.

178lbs on Friday. Of course I’m out of town now and trying to behave on the dietary side of things. Not easy.
Four runs this week, longest was 4 miles in addition to my fullbody lifting.

Decent workout week here. Some strength training and four runs. Only about 7 miles total on the four runs.

Well workouts ended mid season. Hunting and work took out the time. That said in and out of woods on foot up and down hill, up and down ladders was helpful. I managed to lose 5# and keep it off throughout the holidays so that was a break of a near 2 year stall.
Since season end A. J. And I have done 2 miles a day.
I have gotten the suspension gym back out and hitting the bike again. I am getting great protien in but need to build up muscles I'm feeding.

Today was a full, several hour workout shoveling 5 " of snow. 18" at end of each drive and the 20 ft before and after mail box. Also shoveled a walk to chickens and green house. Yes yes I'm VERY sore and stiff.
You have seen the size of my drive and turn around.

Back after it this morning - 222 flights of stairs followed by push day. Looks like a snow storm rolling through tonight and into tomorrow so I'll likely work from home tomorrow, which means either kettle bells or spin bike. We'll see how ambitious I'm feeling in the morning.

I kicked the idea of joining a local gym around for about a week, toured one called the pump house (yes, I'm serious) and decided to join. All my equipment is sitting under a shed outside and I've had a hard time motivating to go out in the cold and wet. Not only that, but I've outgrown the weights I own, except incline bench. Long story short, I went yesterday and I'm sore as I can be. It's a nice gym, not overly crowded and clean. Recovery day today.

The new year, new me crowd finally showed up this morning! Thankfully, it takes a special breed of person to get up and get to the gym at 5:30 in the morning, so the influx wasn't too bad. I'm hoping at least a few of them stick around for the long term! It's good to see people trying to get after it and get healthy.

I took a step back from my push up routine. I was seeing great results after a couple weeks. First time in my life I could actually see something that resembled abbs! Haha. I always had a layer of belly fat on me since 4th grade. Even the few times I got my weight down in the 170's, still had that belly fat.

My shoulder just keep getting worse and made push ups a chore with lots of pain. So I stopped. Now completely focused on getting my shoulders fixed. Either I have a tare or shoulder impingement. So working on exercises every day to fix a impingement. I'm getting instant relief! This has been a problem for 2 years with me. So much I couldn't shoot my bow much and had to turn it down just to hunt. But so far feeling amazing with the workout routine. If the recovery is this quick, I hope to get back to my push up again soon.

New year guys! Keep up the work

So had yearly physical good and not so good news.
Dropped 10#'s since last May. He's very happy with weight and BP
Says I am crazy for enjoying the driveway shoveling but didn't discourage it. Won't know blood work up for a bit but he's not concerned
I have a hereditary ligament disease that will eventually curl my fingers in. Name starts with a D . The inflammation in my hands has made the scaring along finger tendons pretty pernounced. Hand surgeons won't address injections or surgery until I can't lay my hands flat on a table.
He's a hunter and putting in for year round crossbow. My arthritis is getting worse.
Other than that I'm doing great!

Well I knew I've had it for most of last year. Knew Doc would confirm at this appointment. The rock hard knots became noticeable last spring. They have multiplied and lengthened through out summer. I then started dropping things like my coffee cup and losing grip strength. Some of that is the arthritis
I also started to notice on a relaxed hand my index and pinky fingers had a pronounced drop.

My Irish roots on Dads side. More prominent in men. My risk was many though.
    1. northern European roots
    2. D deficiency, I've been on prescription D for dangerously low count and take high daily doses. I can't retain it
    3. Working with equipment that vibrates. Let's see rototillers, Chain saws. Hammering ,pounding posts, etc,etc
    4. Smoking and drinking, not relevant to me
    5. age , usually after 50,

Been steady with running and strength training. I've already put in 2, 2 mile runs this week. Slowly upping my pace and distances.
