New PB on the stairs this morning - 225 flights in 30 minutes. Followed with back/biceps/pull day.

Heading out to see a customer and I'll be out of town tonight and tomorrow so we'll see what the hotel gym looks like!

100 degrees at daughters soccer. Thought let's test hydration. Lol. Ran 1.5 miles and did some "explosive" leg stuff. Committed to getting my legs primed up 1 time a week doing low key plyos and jumps. Want to protect myself from falls...felt like I fell more in the woods last year. Haha.

So I have to test the JV girls today and that means they need to run an 8 min mile.... which means I need to run an 8 min mile. Yeah, so, um this will be interesting. I have a rule with my girls and conditioning. They hate it ( no surprise) so my rule is I'll never ask them to do something I won't do.

I ran at an 8 min mile pace last night for the last .75 miles of my run. Didn't kill me but didn't feel good.

Got 3 miles in on the hotel elliptical and followed up with some barbell exercises. Incline bench, tricep extensions, chest flies, and some goblet squats to finish it up. Not the greatest workout in the world, but I worked up a good sweat and didn't sleep in!

Back to my regularly scheduled workouts tomorrow.

Got in a decent ride last night. Was trying to get 2 hours on the bike and didn't care about distance or speed. Legs felt surprisingly strong and felt I could have gone alot faster. But I don't want to over do it, having just raced Saturday. Perfect weather and rode with a couple good biking buddies, alls good! Screenshot_20230823_115918_Strava.jpg

916 mile... My bigass was pushing to keep up with these girls. Then we got to do a shuttle run, pull ups, V sit, push ups, then situps. Good news is I qualified for JV volleyball guys

Hey now you have a base point, and a goal. Once you lose more weight, your speed will go up. Could retest at the end of the season and see where how much you improved.

I really tried to beat my PB on the stairs this morning but ended up tied at 225 flights in 30 minutes. Man, I thought I had it! Since I woke up early this morning, I had some extra time and worked on a few additional back/shoulders/arms movements. Also, with this ridiculous humidity I feel like I was sweating more than usual. I looked like a glazed donut!

I did lat pulldowns, seated rows, standing landmine presses, endless rope pulldowns (50 x 4 sets), cable lateral raises, and upright rows.

I know what you mean by the high humidity. I got back in my car this morning after workout and was dripping all over the seats. I had to wipe the seats with a towel when I got home

Man I'm glad I don't have the heat you guys have. Been low 80's this past week with very low humidity. It's actually 75 today with a nice breeze. I know there's still time that it could get hot here again.
