Awesome transformation! That's not easy, especially once in your 40's. Find what ever it takes to keep your motivation and finish that Hard 75!

I'm sure it's not easier the 2nd time either.

Since your going to be in camp, just tell all your buddies that you will drag or pack all the deer out for the week. Then you won't feel bad for the pizza and beer. Haha

Seriously though, there isn't anything that feels the same as dragging a deer out a couple hundred yards in early season, just brutal!

You have to do it as part of 75 Hard to keep yourself accountable. Otherwise, I would never have done it in the first place! But I've saved all of them and it's crazy to go look at the progress. I plan on putting together a flip-book style video at the one-year mark.

Your doing great. The important thing is to stay after it over the long haul. No need to deny yourself pleasure our pulverize yourself everyday with some brutal totality unsustainable training schedule. Find balance and that sweet spot and you will never look back and can enjoy the best of both worlds for decades.

Just wrapped up a 45 minute "hike" on the Alpine Runner 20% incline at 2.5 mph, burned 550 calories wearing the 20lb weight vest. Not bad for a light day.

You have done great! The key to keeping it off is to do things that are sustainable. You just have to find the things you can live with each day to keep yourself on track. You won't be motivated to workout like a beast every day. So on those days back off a little. You have really accomplished alot and I wish you continued success!

Alright guys and gals, I may have done something stupid!

I signed for a Endurance mountain bike race for tomorrow. Basically it's a 7 mile lap race and I have to see how many times I can go around it in 4 hours. So minimum I have to ride 4 hours to complete it. But if you get in before the cutoff, then you can do another lap. Who ever has most laps/fastest time wins. This is going to be tough, haven't done anything close to this in over 12 years. Going to be interesting to say the least. I will update my times and place tomorrow after the race.

Whether you come in first or not, you will have won for yourself just by doing the event. Good luck!

    Thank you!

I'm not looking for a podium at this race. More of a personal experience this time to test myself. I will be going against Pro riders and they are beast, Insanely fast.

    Good luck sounds brutal.

I was following a friend of mine last week who competed in the Leadville 100...a different form of brutal.

Well, boys, I officially threw in the towel on 75 Hard Part Deux after Day 30. I just didn't have the motivation to sacrifice other aspects of my life right now. The straw that broke my back last night was needing to tune and shoot my bow to get ready for Kentucky in two weeks. I'm woefully unprepared in the gear department, and rather than working out last night, I elected to shoot my bow instead. It was one or the other, and the bow won. That's certainly the hardest part of 75 Hard - the sacrifices you need to make to other aspects of your life.

My plan is to continue doing everything 75 Hard related minus the second workout and occasional cheat meal/snack/adult beverage. I still have goals I need to achieve but, as Andy Frisella often says about 75 Hard, if you just want to lose weight there are way easier ways to do it!

I will probably revisit it again after the New Year. For now, I have 3 pounds to lose, I have to get ready for hunting season, and then focus on not gorging myself on Caseys pizza and Little Debbies all fall.

To punish myself for being a sissy quitter I did a 30 minute HIIT kettlebell workout followed by a bunch of core work this morning.

    That is brutal!

That is actually a life goal of mine that I may be doing next year. Finish a 100 mile mtb race. But I plan to stick to the eastern seaboard. No way I'm doing that at 12K feet elevation!

You have already proven you are not a quitter! You are only a quitter if you completely give up on all you have accomplished and go back to your old way of eating. You will figure out what it takes to sustain it. Believe me, I made all the mistakes before I finally found what worked. You can do this!

My boy have been bugging me to start doing push ups with them before bed at night, so we started that last night. One push up for every year of your age.

Trap Bar Deadlifts with 30 second plank after each set: 145/5, 235/5, 285/5, 325/15, 375/8.

    Rope Face Pulls 5 x12 reps @50lbs
    Pallof Press 3 x 30 seconds @50lbs
