May I suggest one of the lower calorie offerings from Athletic Brewing.

I got up at 4 am both days this weekend to go fishing, so I've been battling a lack of sleep and still getting my workouts in.

Saturday I hit a new PB on the stairs - 222 flights in 30 minutes. I followed it up with a full-body circuit and then hung out at the pool for a couple of hours with the family. My second workout for the day was setting out blinds, trimming treestands, cutting trails, and putting trail cams out in the heat and humidity.

Yesterday I was pretty sore and tired, so I took it about as easy as possible. I did a very mild 45-minute ride on the spin bike while watching Netflix, and then walked around the fields for 45 minutes during my son's doubleheader baseball games. It's pretty much the minimum acceptable "workout" I could figure out. I really needed a day of rest.

Today I was back at it and hit the gym hard. 218 flights of stairs followed by pull day. Tonight it looks like rain, so I'm looking forward to a fun outdoor workout! I'll probably toss my rain jacket on and go for a ruck. Been a while since I've been through a good soaker.

Weighted pushups during a ruck. Nice!!!

I dodged the rain last night and did a quick 3 mile hike with no weight. This morning was my first spin class in a few months I think. 5 minute warmup of jumping jacks, running planks and some band work. Then a 30 minute class that kicked my ass. Took 5 minutes to cool down then did a 5 minute core workout - situps and Russian twists.

We're back to football and cheer practice tonight which means I will hike/ruck while the kids are doing that.

Was cleared to run! Also cleared to begin power cleans/snatches. I’m only allowed to run 2 times a week for the next few with a couple minute running followed by 5 minutes of walking and cycling that for 30 minutes. I’m not allowed to clean or snatch on days I’m running and have to stay light and I’m not allowed to sprint, but excited to start that up.

After a weekend of sky shenanigans I was back at it on Monday. Fullbody split at the gym and 4 mile run. Today I pushed back the morning gym session and went to the lease to move some cameras and put in some fresh batteries.
Didn’t have as much time tonight to lift and do cardio so I did push ups or box jumps between sets to keep my HR up.

Youngest passed a heck of a conditioning test at club soccer. From where she was just a couple years ago due to her health to now, is amazing. She put in so much hard work.

That's awesome! It's great seeing young people being taught the importance of health and fitness. It's a huge deficiency in our nation.

I got in a solid workout this morning. 219 flights of stairs followed by push (chest) day. As a person who has never been overly strong, being able to bench my body weight at almost 43 makes me feel pretty good. I'd love to continue increasing that, but it certainly is not easy at this age! May need to get on that TRT after all.

I got in a killer bike ride last night. Pushed myself to failure. About mile 26 I got a bad leg cramp. It was so bad, that if I got off my bike I would have collapsed on the ground. I forced myself to pedal it out and it went away. I have heard that you can do that and it worked for me.

Next up is the race I did last year, the same one is this weekend. Im trying to decide what category I want to race in. Screenshot_20230815_215141_Strava.jpg

I am back After a 2 week hiatus I've got back on the train this week. 5 miles each day, 2 mile run each day. Today might have been my fastest mile ever... Had a 25-35mph wind at my back the entire way haha.

That is so awesome man! Keep it up!!! Very inspiring reading your guys daily logs.

I’m basically doing 5 miles a day so I can enjoy my beer. I eat healthy but still drink way too much on the weekends. Next week I’m in Nashville Tuesday - Friday with Wednesday being my birthday. Can’t wait to step on the scale when I get back. Stepped on it today and am 2lbs heavier than the day before I left for Vegas after working out for a month straight. Always 165-175. Always.

Day 30 of 75 Hard and I'm really struggling to find the motivation to keep this up. I'm weighing in at 183 and would like to drop those last 3 lbs by the end of this month before I head down to KY for an early season hunt with a couple buddies. I may give up the quest on that trip so I can enjoy some Casey's pizza and a couple of deer camp beers at night. I just don't have the drive that I had last time! I guess time will tell.

For now I'm still on track. 4 miles on the elliptical this morning followed by back/shoulders workout and some core work at the end, which is becoming more common in my workouts these days. I've started working in more leg lifts, incline bench situps and side raises to my workouts. Having a strong core seems to make everything else easier.
