A little over 5 miles walking and scouting in 90* heat today. Then took the family swimming at the local pool for a couple of hours. Fitbit say I was active for 323 minutes, burned 4,400 calories, walked 47 flight of stairs and a total of 8.93 miles for 20,120 steps.

Not at all ashamed to have a cookies’ and cream root beer float.

Saturday I woke up early and got a 3 mile ruck in before the family was awake. A few hours later I hit the gym for a good 90 minute session. I did 30 minutes on the stairs followed by pull day and a bunch of core work. It's nice to be at the gym with no time limit and nowhere else to be.

Yesterday I took it easy. Went for a 3 mile walk early in the morning before most people were awake, then I did a 45 minute ride on the spin bike while watching Netflix. Nothing too crazy - I think I did just over 16 miles.

This morning was stairs followed by leg day. I went easy on legs since there are no rest days in 75 Hard and I didn't want to make the mistake of overdoing it and then having to struggle through workouts for the next few days. I went a little heavier than usual, but lower reps and longer rest between sets.

I think I had my shoes a little too tight during some of my rucks last week and I've got a decent amount of soreness going on the top side of my ankle down towards the top of my foot. Basically where you would tie your shoe when wearing low-top shoes. So I do need to ease up a little bit to let that clear up.

Sounds bad but I've been a little bored of training so I've seriously condensed my strength workouts. I may do alternating sets of weighted pushups and pull up to failure. 15 min workouts but intense. Last night I put 40 lbs in backpack and did alternating sets of pushups and squats. Took 15 mins combined with 5mins on the heavy bag. Hopefully after a couple weeks of this my body will want to pick up the volume again.

Squats with a weighted pack are legit! I usually try to get a few sets in before or after my rucks. I haven't tried pushups yet, but I'll give them a whirl next time.

Well I'm back boys. I refuse to weight in for at least a week. I am guessing I added 15lbs. But it was worth it. I'm not quite over my jetlagged period but I'm back on my routine. Heading to the gym for the first time in 2 weeks. Starting 75 again next Monday officially even though I'm following it today through Monday anyway.

Been looking up some lazy man crock pot low carb recipes. Man there are some good ones that look perfect for meal prep and for fall hunting season. Solid calories to keep hunger away. Going to make one tonight. Test running "crack chicken". Eat from a bowl or a soft Taco.

We hiked the blue mountains and Ayers rock, climbed the Sydney bridge, scuba dived at Great Barrier Reef and Swam with sharks in Hawaii. Proud to say BHOD was repped the whole time. I gorged on great food and have a full memory bank of cool **** that's all once in a lifetime. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Crack chicken is one of my go-to low carb meals! I often make it in the instant pot with frozen chicken breasts, which is super easy and you don't even need to plan ahead. I typically eat it on it's own or on a low-carb bun. Surprisingly enough, some of the low-carb/keto buns out there really aren't bad.

Been too busy to get a routine going seems like I am going to some different sweat lodge in the deep south every other week. Drink a gallon of water a day and sweat like a fat kid.

I've never had an instant pot, but sounds good to speed up the process.

These are great. 19 grams carbs but 15g of which is fiber....

I went on a 2.5 mile walk last night while my son was at football practice for my outdoor workout. I'll probably do the same tonight.

This morning was 30 minutes on the stairs doing an interval workout at a little bit of a lower intensity than usual. Instead of trying to kill myself I wanted to get a good Zone 2 workout in. Ended up at 190 flights, and worked up a good sweat. I followed that up with push day. Dips, decline bench, incline bench, cable flies & tricep extensions.

Drinking a gallon of water a day is way easier in July than it was in February, that's for sure!
