I finally got my guts back under control after a month of biom killing antibiotics. I lost the 8#s I'd gained when inflammation was at it's worst. The pain hadn't eased so Idid my own research. I'm now re taking my vitamins and added thiamine (B1). That and upped the D3 and magnesium.
Hoping to get out kayaking soon....

Got a 2.6 mile walk in this evening when the smoke cleared out a little bit. Nice slow pace.

I usually get 96-128oz of water every day.

I chug 18 ounces before I leave the house to head to the gym in the morning. Then drink another 18-24 while working out. I then try to get 36 ounces between 8 am and noon and another 36 between 1 and 5 pm when I leave the office. I may or may not drink more in the evening depending on what I'm doing. My goal is to be at least 100 ounces a day.

All I drink besides water is coffee - usually one cup when I get to work in the morning.

I took a break from the stairs this morning and did a 30-minute Tabata workout on the elliptical instead. The first 10 minutes was warmup followed by 4 circuits of 20 seconds sprint, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds of that with 1 minute break between. I got 4.68 miles in 30 minutes, which I think is my PB. I don't keep track of my elliptical workouts too closely, but my heart rate was up there and I was sweating pretty good.

After that, I hit legs and core. Kettlebell goblet squats, calf press, single leg touchdowns, leg extensions (1 rep max - 2oo lb), farmer carries, cable crunches, weighted side bends.

You're gonna smoke all your hunting buddies this year. None of them will be able to keep up with you, especially if you go out west.

No trips out West for me this year, but I may do an early season public land hunt somewhere. Thinking about heading down to KY with Dan Richardson for a couple days in September.

Backed off my running and walking this month. Joints and body needed a break. Still have covered 17 miles over first 15 days of month. Not great, but consistent. Need to push some of this inflammation out of my body to reset.

Went 5.5 miles in the new shoes today. Always start with a mile where I try to get under 8min. 7:47 today. Alternate walking/running after that.

Shoes felt really great. Still getting some pain in my shins and calves but that might be due to bad form/weak muscles. Not exactly sure.

I ate about 3 lbs of Costco pizza last night (it was delicious BTW) so I went hard on the stairs this morning. 212 flights in 30 minutes, followed by pull day. Seated cable rows, lat pulldowns, dumbbell rows, curls for the girls, upright rows, cable side raises.

We are headed to Iowa this afternoon for a baseball tournament all weekend. I'll try to eat somewhat clean but I'm sure I'll enjoy a few adult beverages and some junk food with some of the other parents. Gotta live a little!

Down again this morning. That makes 25lbs with 23 days left. Having a daddy daughter date night tonight though so I'm hoping not to go up too much.
I can't praise Justin and hard 75 enough. I feel like a vegan or saddle hunter, I talk about it so much

Well, I'm leaving in a few weeks and I just want to be a strong as possible. I wanted 15lbs more but honestly as soon as I get back from my trip I'm starting again. Just not going to count the days. It's a great lifestyle.

75 Hard is without question the best thing I've ever done for myself personally in my life. I'm strongly considering doing it again starting in mid-July. I want to drop that last 10 lbs to get to my goal and start toning up a bit. At almost 43 this isn't easy to do and I need to make hay while I still can!

Keep after it, Fix!! Love seeing your progress man.

I know some of you all have kids who play all kinds of sports. We all know being a great runner helps bigtime.

Olympic 200m champ showing some great drills to perfect sprint form. Even at a young age this can pay huge dividends. Even just focusing on one drill a week or month and then progressing.
