A break is ALWAYS good. Your body, no matter your age, needs a chance to heal now and then. You probably came back very strong after taking a day or two off, at least that's how I always feel. Congrats on what you have accomplished. It speaks volumes about your dedication and determination.

So it turns out I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics they put me on for my staph infection, which is why I felt like ass for most of last week. I had a very low-grade fever on and off for part of Weds/Thurs, and then started breaking out with a rash on my neck/chest/back starting on Friday in addition to just feeling "off" and being super tired. I didn't put two and two together until yesterday, so I did a teledoc visit and they put me on a fun dose of Prednisone to clear that up. Sleep is overrated anyways.

Thankfully I'm feeling good and got another PB on the stairs this morning - 4.0 miles and 192 floors in 30 minutes. Followed that up with a solid pull workout. Tomorrow is leg day.

Cracked into the 185's this morning.

I'm on day 30 of my 75. Loving every minute of it. My daughter did come home from school and I agreed to do what she does for leg day yesterday and wow...I haven't been this sore in forever.

Varying work schedules suck for training. I must endure. Ran and walked for maybe 6 miles total this weekend and lifted. Back at it today.

I have a man crush on your KB swings.

I did single arms with 40 lbs last week, and my traps were on fire all weekend. It was part of my HIIT set, so AMRAP for 20 seconds per arm with 10 sec rest in between. 5 total rounds in the full circuit. I typically average 1o-12 swings per 20-second interval.

    Ride # 9

    32.2 miles
    3 hours 14 minutes
    10 mph average speed.

Still sick from over 2 weeks ago. If this doesn't clear up in a few day, might be time for me to go to doctor. Green goo still pouring out.

Decided to go out early yesterday from work and put in a fast 15 miles, then linked up with a group ride at 5:30 and put on another 17 miles. Since I got back into mountain biking 2 years ago, I haven't been able to break over 30 miles. I usually cramp up so bad I have to slow way down and head back to truck. But last night I finished the ride fairly strong. I never cramped, but I could feel it coming on at about mile 25. Big mile stone for me this week. Now time to keep working on picking up speed and strength for my legs. Really itching to race and see where I'm at.

    Solid work!!!!

This week I've had to step up my cardio game to get the same workout that I used to. I have to add a lot more resistance and/or a faster pace to get my heart rate into that Zone 2 cardio range where I want it. If I do the same workout that used to kill me three months ago, I barely even break a sweat. For example, it used to take me right around 40 minutes to climb 4,000 feet on the elliptical machine. I did that in 30 minutes this morning and wasn't pushing as hard as I could. Progress, baby!

Today was leg day. Tomorrow will be spin class, then a few days of active recovery/rest with weighted rucks while I'm out of town on a boy's fishing trip.

Got another 3 mile walk and run after work plus legs yesterday. I want to do a 10 mile walk/run soon.

That's moving man! You got a goal time to hit by end of summer? I always wanted to run a sub 6 minute mile, but I don't enjoy running so never pushed it.

Are you able to walk around at your job? Or stuck in a area? Could always make a certain circuit to walk every day while doing rounds and time yourself.
