Power went out right when I was done on the traction machine, gals suggested I do PT before I leave, I said nope going home I do more reps than you suggest here at home, I'm good but they agreed they can tell I am doing my home work. Next week x rays and review of progress.

Why did some community group have to leave a care package on my front door which contained hostess products? Just why!

Walked a mile then ran 2 miles. First time under 20mins for 2 miles since my hernia surgery in 2020. If I were 20 lbs lighter I could run much faster. Need this blubber gone!

Just weighed myself and smiled. I learned I have a health issue last fall and with it I lost alot of weight. With meds that has moderated but getting my back and lower body fixed has allowed me to be pain free and excersize. I have put 11 pounds back on and have an old man grissel 6 pack, my 70 year old neighbor 2 doors down says I am looking hot.

Not really a true work out. But I cut 5 large trees up, 2 of which were over 24" at the base. 4 hours of running a Stihl 661. Then loaded about 8000 lbs of log rounds onto the trailer by hand. Definitely a good work out! Only got 2 more trailer loads to load and bring home from this spot. Then 2 more trees for friends and family.

Hand splitting is a good work out. One of my prized tools is my splitting maul, 13 pound head, 36" of handle outside the head fiberglass handle. Technique is important full swing and the hip transfer and swing thru the top of the log, aim for the ground not the top of the log.

Yes it is! I burn about 8 cords a year. Up until 2 years ago, I hand split all my wood. Torn something in my shoulder, so splitting is done with hydraulics now. I do pull out the axe a few times a year and split a cord just for fun. I find it therapeutic.

I did for years too, fun to do for fire pit wood not heating. I went to a corn stove instead of the splitter.

My other fitness project is going to be moving medium to larger rocks from the woods to the shore to reinforce the rocks protecting the banks. Will use a 2 wheel dolly with large pneumatic tires, all by hand lifting and carrying to set. That will be a test on the old back

That's one of the great things about being in shape. You start to do things that used to wear you out and then after you're finished, you realize there wasn't anything to it.
