Kind of what I did to lose weight. But I'm stuck right now for the last year. I went to mostly fruit, vegetables, and meat and cut back on amount of food. Then mixed in very mild fasting once or twice a week. Knocked 20 lbs out really fast. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I need to lose 20lbs man. Im still able to do a lot of stuff physically but I can only imagine how good I would feel if I shed 20lbs or so. Im going to really try over the next 3 weeks (3 weeks coincides with 09/15 bow opener lol). I caught a pic of myself on a trail cam the other day and I look like a blocky old man. hahaha
Well you guys are killing it on your work outs! Good to see alot of the same ones still after it. I don't know if any remember I got back into mountain biking and racing last year. Well I stuck with it again this year and have had huge jumps in my speed and endurance. Haven't lost a single lbs, but have been putting on some lean muscle. This past weekend I did a race and I finally got a 1st place win in my class! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
That's the worst with a trail cam pic, they never make you look good! Lol. I had to go to extreme to lose weight no that I'm starting to get older. Just had to push my self hard when working and the hardest part was simply cutting back on food and skipping a meal once and awhile. That was brutal for me. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'm down 32lbs from my heaviest and 26lbs from when I started. Starting to have problems sleeping, but think it is stress induced.
As a short term plan, it will probably work if you can limit yourself to lean meats and vegetables. However, your energy levels will also go down, especially the first 4-5 days as your body adjusts. Plan on needing and extra 30-60 minutes of sleep each night and an extra cup of coffee to compensate.
244.6 lbs to start today. Got lazy with carbs and beer. 240 by Sept 15 is my short term goal. I cannot let my eating and aging body get too far gone or I'm gonna have Probs later in life.
I was 243 when I started, 249 at my heaviest, that was confirmed on scale anyway. I have had minimal cardio, haven't been able to commit to the treadmill yet, that will really speed things up. Had a pretty active day at work breaking a sweat most of the day, stepped on the scale in boxers when I got home tonight, 216.8. My goal is to get to 180 and try to return to a somewhat favorite food in moderation lifestyle. I can't go forever without deer chilli with beans, an occasional burger and fries and other lifelong favorites like beer . I'd expect to gain back 10-20 regardless of how I do it, but I will continue tracking my calories and try to limit carbs as much as possible. I think the one thing I can give up for sure is granulated sugar and high content sugar foods/drinks. I still enjoy sweet tea, kool aide and lemonade with Monkfruit and Stevia. I'm strictly about pounds lost and maintained not a new lifestlye,.... yet I can deal with being 200 if I cannot maintain 190. At 6'1" it's not that bad. As stated before I can see it in my face, arms and waist/belly. 36" waist clothes have me at timea looking like a thug with them wanting to drop down, was 38 and dipping into some 40's When I sat down and sat up straight I had a shelf on top of my belly Gone now, got rid of the spare tire, now just a pesky inner tube to get rid of. Biggest thing changing now is in my arms, still working out and now have veins starting to show. Haven't had that since my early 20's. I max my protein, keep my carbs below 15 always, calories below 1400 and very minimal sugar that's in some foods regardless, always less than 4 grams. Thinking about calling my Dr. and asking if I can do a fasting labwork to check everything out. Doing everything on a whim and somewhat research
On day 4 of this and I'm feeling the effects of lower energy mid day but that's OK. Going to keep forging ahead. Get to 240 by Sept 15 then reassess. I've been eating well and not starving, just changing up what I eat.
Hit 60 lbs down this week, glad I didn't lose much ground with vacation. Today was mostly cardio, biked 7 miles in 20 on the echelon, then rowed 1 k in 10 minutes on the rower. Then this afternoon we walked 2 mi at 19 min pace, not bad with the kids. Shot the bow today, sad to say the first time this year. It was.... Awesome. Felt effortless with all the lifting I've been doing. Pretty decent groups, and way less shaky holding long. Felt like I had been shooting all summer. Win. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
That is awesome, Doc. When I did this 7yrs ago at age 60, it was like I had been reborn. Now at 67 I have more energy and stamina than I had at age 50. I'm very happy for you!! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Some of you all are Drs or are associated with the medical community. Is a Dr allowed to prescribe medication to out of state patients? Common sense tells me it is probably allowed based on people travelling to see specialty doctors in different states or getting surgery out of state then being prescribed short and long term medications from that Dr in another state. Any info would be appreciated.
