My brother and his family are up for the weekend. He and his four kids got to do some icefishing today. We caught a ton of small crappies all afternoon. the last few hours it was just me, my brother and our dad. Good times, but slow fishing. Then, 5 minutes before we had to head in for dinner, >>BAM<< But it was no crappie this time. 28.5" and tough as could be. Best fish I've ever caught through the ice. Walleye season ended two weeks ago, so after measuring her and taking a few pics, back down the hole she went. It was a good day
Great times with the family and beautiful fish! Good to see her go back down the hole....she'll be laying a lot of eggs after the ice goes!
