    From what we know this whole tragedy could have easily been prevented, instead politicians and fools will gather in force in a veiled attempt at showing the world we are a better people.
    And In the end nothing will change, and killers will continue to kill, the sheepeople will once again assemble and demand more ridiculous and ineffective laws, all the while eroding the very freedoms that make America great.

    Australia had a mass shooting in 1996, 36 people killed.

    How many have they had since 1996, anyone know? Does anyone think they said, "We cannot stop crazy people" and kept the status quo?

    Do you honestly believe that Australia's gun control is actually working because there has not been a mass shooting since?

    22 million people in Australia. 300 million in the US.

    I agree that we need to try to keep this from happening but in a country this size with FREE citizens, there will be those that commit these kinds of horrible acts.

    Apparenlty there were issues with his meds. Big area of concern.

    I know, but that was not the question. Is it bad to look and see what they have done and try and do better? Why do we just throw our hands in the air and state, nothing can be done.

    Australia has roughly the same population as the state of NY, we have little in common besides a love of steak and ale.

    Maybe so. But the idea was flawed. The crime rate in that country is through the roof.

    I agreed with you in the second paragraph. We should try to find the reason and ways to prevent it but, with this many free citizens, you will have those that slip through the cracks.

    Well hell let's jus be like the old Soviet Union or north Korea, they probably didn't have many mass shootings and the gov told you where to work, what to believe in, what you could and couldn't say or listen to. I mean whatever it takes right, gotta be safe and not put the people responsible for they're actions without punishing everyone right. Yea maybe that didn't work for them but hey it's a model we go use as s starting point and improve.
