I would agree. If a person is not comfortable with a gun they should have one but I'd love to see all teachers and Administrators who are trained And comfortable carrying a gun to have access to one in their school and their job.
Give these people a chance to defend themselves when some crazy comes in with the guns are blasting away. If 10% of employees in any business or school or public building is packing or has access to his or her own gun that would Definitely change odds and our favor.

I have to admit, it does bug me that the media benefits so much from situations like this.

I can't go on either foxnews.com or cnn.com and watch a single video about this whole tragedy without being forced to watch a 15-30 second advertisement on the front of the video. Those companies and the media will plaster this stuff everywhere so that they can rake in the $$$ while this ******* is immortalized. Now every other whack job out that is pissed off at the world knows exactly how they can become forever infamous. They are far more guilty IMHO than the gun manufacturers or stores. If guns empower these people than the media is fueling them.

I as well. That probably makes me the most sick. That is the reason I have avoided almost all coverage, both TV and internet, on this incident.

Does any one have a theory on why after inflicting exceptional amounts of terror and harm why is it that these people always kill them selves?

Its like they have accomplished a mission, or that their work is done?

I think it is because they are cowards. That is why they choose defenseless victims. They kill themselves because they are afraid of the consequences for their actions, as they should be.

In their depraved mind these people must find the climb to infamy to be far easier than the climb to fame. It's too hard to be known for something good. Is it surprising that a large percentage of that generation seems to shun work?

That makes some sense, they use over whelming fire power against helpless victims with little or no chance of repercussions.

Because they do in fact know the difference between right and wrong. Probably a bit of sensationalism or martyrdom thrown in the mix. It said he shot until the first responders got closer then offed himself. His intent all along was suicide, but the way the media glorifies the shooters in these he wanted to leave his mark. Each one tries to outdo the last it seems.

One was just foiled in OK, wanted to lock them in an auditorium and open fire. Wouldn't be surprised if there isn't some underground website out there or something.

Yes under achievement seems to always come up when discussing their past, that seems to go hand in hand with the lack of a father to kick them in the *** now and again.

    Sadly, its true.

    Sadly, true again.

A growing number of young people find it easier in there minds to make money the "fast way" over the legit way. Stealing, selling said stoken goods, selling pills, weed...stealing from there parents/grandparents.

The number of 20-22 year olds i know without any education or a career plan is sad. All working minimum wage jobs and waiting on "something".

    Its a problem.

Well, I picked up my first AR today. I went to 5 shops and they were selling like hot cakes. I bought mine from a guy that said he had 37 calls today inquiring about Ar's. I've been wanting one for coyote hunting so I got this one.

I agree with Gary on this, its not the schools responsibilty but I also Agree with Trevor, there is another theory that can be discussed.

BUT,what is lost in the religion debate is that those that believe, believe God saves and heals. The evil within might be warded off by Gods presence in their life.

I agree, they in no way should be mandated or required to carry. That is a dangerous scenario.(gun in the hands of someone not comfortable and confident with it)

However,if a qualified, well trained teacher with a CC permit is allowed to carry in school,it could serve as a deterent or stop a tragic situation.

I am for armed guards of some sort.We have uniformed officers but plain clothes officers or guards would be fine with me.

Found some deaths for ya by knives but the forums not letting it post the site.

Not sure where your taking this thread but this kid was a little mental and he used guns. If a made a bomb out of fertilizer would be be taking about banning fertilizer?

How about let's focus a little more on thinking outside the box and on topic.

I'd pay them more for this added service to our country as well.
