There already is one trained LEO at every school in my district, one of the few things that they have done right. But with the school size i feel there should be one more.

You are entirely correct about creating jobs as well. Im obviously an advocate of more Police/Fire/EMS jobs, and this is one of the easier, realistic and needed methods.

That where your post is irrelevant, that card in ones pocket sure makes people hate, do a search on here and see who's doing the judging.....

I stayed out of the union debate, I'm not a fan of them at all.

I have many friends who are teachers, they do an amazing job up against often times ridiculous rules & criteria they must follow. I would NOT want the overwhelming burden of being armed put on them.

Funny this is what makes most of what you post irrelevant.
I really don't care where you sit, as long as it's not next to me.

I agree with every part of this, only that I didn't stay out of the union thread when I should have. I'm not a fan of them or their tactics...that in no way translates to me thinking they are bad people as BHF is trying to portray.

If we are arguing teachers should be paid more for their dangerous work conditions because of the threat of shootings, then so should mall kiosk workers!

Hows come the people that defend our nation in the armed forces are not unionized yet you think every one else that works in this free nation should be forced to be?

Are not Navy seals trained and capable of defending our schools? Need they be unionized to be eligible for the position as our teachers are?

The topic on hand in this thread has NOTHING to do with unions...

I am not argue that they deserve more pay for dangers work. I don't know about BHF, but I believe his point a lot of folks jump on educators this past year about their pay and benefits.

And just what is that I'm try to "portray" as you put it, so your saying people on here didn't bash teachers, say they didn't deserve what they got paid for work only part of the year and wanted them to make less money???, Feelin' guilty...please explain.

Picked up 5k rounds of 5.56 today and a dozen pre-ban 30rd mags. Since NY is a "no assault weapon" state, we can't touch the newer mags that cost a reasonable amount of $$$, instead I can still buy them but have to pay $60 a pop for decent preban ones.

Schumer is on a war path right now and things are going to change in the near future for sure. You should have seen the line at the local gun store today. They told me they sold about 50 AR's in the last two days and kept the shop open yesterday to try and keep up with demand. They aren't sure if they will get any more AR's in stock now, all their suppliers are out and have no ETA on being able to ship more out. If you want one, I'd do it now........

No one I saw ever bashed teachers. Only said they make a comparable salary to other 4 year degrees especially when factored in they work 9 months out of the year an have a great benefits and retirement package to boot.

I'm not for cutting teaching salaries....just hate that teachers can walk out on their job and our youth in order to strike for better pay with zero consequence.

But as Caleb said, that's unrelated.

I don't think teachers are overpaid. I think they get paid enough. That isn't going to change because a psychopath decided to kill some.

I have to admit, it does bug me a little that gun and ammo manufacturers benefit so much from situations like this.

As if Obamas' re-election didn't already jump start the gun/ammo buy up, Friday's events certainly strapped on turbo rocket boosters to it. Our local ****'s sporting goods was already just about emptied out of ammo after thanksgiving weekend and a 6 box limit set. Although I just picked up a new flintlock wednesday and that gun store had box upon box of bulk ammo. I'm curious to see how much is left today, it's one of the busier stores in the area.

How much do you think "hand gun control Inc" or the DNC are benefiting from this, I'll bet even "Rush's" rating sky rocket.

Not sure, and I realize others do benefit from it. With the crazy sales numbers I'm hearing in regards to guns and ammo, I would be surprised if anyone is benefiting more.

Would it help how you feel if they lowered prices and reduced their profit margin, or if they raised prices to reduce the demand?

We all lose when these tragedies occur, the news media will find every single toothed bubba john and put him live on the six O'Clock news to tell us all why we need our guns.

While gangs kill one another daily with out so much as a mention and along comes Davy do gooder with some redundant plan to save us all from our selves.

No one wants to look at the one common denominator. Humans, we are all different yet we are all a bit the same. We are killers, and we always will be.

It was just an example on the anti gun topic that happened to happen on the same day. I believe this has happened a couple of time over in China.
