And I wasn't in it Some of you may remember from that other forum, but in the last 3 seasons, 4 deer nice bucks have been killed out of sets that I've hung and I wasn't hunting on that particular day. This is a guy that I work with and a very good friend, his place is where I've been hunting in Kansas. He killed this deer on Sunday out of a stand I hung between in a strip of woods between two meadows. I've seen several deer scent check this tree line with a South wind and my theory proved correct. He's an older deer but with not a lot upstairs which is the primary reason he got shot. I'll be out there this weekend, maybe I'll get to shoot a deer out of one of my stands someday Oh we took a picture of this deer over the summer at a water hole on another piece of property, it was 1.72 miles in straight line distance from where he was killed. Total inches from Dubbya's stands in the past 3 years... 668" Dubbya out of his stand ... 147
Red dirt, prarie grass, and cedar trees. That is one damn Oklahoma background. lol Maybe you should stick around here instead of running all over the country:d. The deer are here, don't you know that? Congrats to you buddy.
Yep that's about as Okie as it gets right there. Maybe you're right about staying here, I'll give it a shot this weekend. Then next weekend... it's back to Kansas for a 3 day hunt.
I'm tired of being a good friend John, I need some good friends!! Buckeye, Raceway... tomorrow will be magic. I'm feeling it. The bucks have been tearing the woods down at the lease, identical forecast from the day my buck was killed last year. Not one person has set foot in my "zone" since my deer was killed last year. I know the does are there, I've got a good feeling about it
