Hey everyone. I'm new to bow hunting. Which is why I'm posting in this forum. I know very little about bows but I'm very interested in learning. I do not own a bow yet. I'm more of a rifle guy myself. However, where I'm at, I don't see any rifle hunting in my future. Time to adapt and overcome. My brother bow hunts. He has a Matthews. Too rich for my blood. I'm looking more on the affordable side of this game. I am thinking about buying a Bowtech Carbon Knight with an RAK package. Being that I don't know much and on a budget, I think that would be a good start. If anyone knows someone selling one fully set up let me know. If not, I'm going to buy new. Or, if you have better suggestions, let me know. Like I said, I'm new and could use any advise I can get.

The good part about Mathews bows are that there is always used ones for sale for a good price, probably the same story though for other bows too though. I bought my drenalin used and I am pretty happy with it.

Don't worry about what anybody else shoots, Look around and shoot everything you can that you think is in your price range. I looked at the Carbon Icon but didn't like the huge valley in the draw cycle. Personally, I'm not a fan of the bow packages, I looked at a few and figured I would be replacing basically everything it comes with anyway so why not just start our clean. The shops I go to normally give a person a discount on any accessory they buy when they buy a new bow also.
