I have been in your same situation, been to several shops and got just as many different answers and spent hundreds on my best guesses. I ended up using DCA custom arrows, Kyle made me a set of arrows that really went not even close to what the shops suggested. He asked me lots of questions about my bow, what kind of shooting I do, what kind of hunting I do, what were my distance objectives and built an arrow for me based on that. I got a nice spreadsheet on spine, weight, points, etc... I am pleased with the service and will order another set for my new bow. I spent hours going back and forth on should I do this? Should I do that? What If I do this... He took care of it for me, they are the best shooting arrows I have had. Kind of a shameless plug, but at the same time I spent probably $1,000 dollars on what I thought was best and now I have dozens of arrows in a bucket that I don't use and one dozen he built for me that I do use. My .02 There are probably a dozen other guys that offer this same type of building maybe look into these types of options to ease your mind.
great advice. and yes, I am in that area where it can go either way with spine and weight etc.. I will look into DCA. thanks for the input
thanks my friend! I wonder still though. My arrow will be 2.5" shorter than 29" that's why it's always been on the border with 340/400 spine
