Another Age Thread

Now that this buck shed antlers, how old do you think he is?

 

Hard to say, with only one picture (especially that one).

If I had to "guess", I'd say he was a healthy 2yr old.

 

Here are some more pics if the first one wasn't good enough...

 

I'm going to say 2 1/2 with the pictures.

 

That/they solidify my guess.

 

I'm not familiar with New York deer but that buck looks like he will be 3 celebrating his 3rd birthday soon. Have any pics with horns?

 

I would say 2 to 2 1/2 years old

 

This past fall he was a 1.5 year old at best. IMO

 

I agree, he's just too lean to be a 2 year old.

 

I said 2yr old....because that's what he is, now. We're saying the same thing. He'll be a 2.5, this fall.

 

I would say he will be 2 on his coming birthday.
