I'm happy he can use the clothes Tony. You must run a pretty tight ship, looks like you gave him a high and tight haircut. ;) You are your family did a great thing for this young man. Be sure to post pics of him shooting the new bow, I'd like to see them.

Tony, you are amazing!, and that is one very lucky kid to have someone like you in his life. You've given him a gift he may not appreciate or understand till he's older. You will also be blessed for this act of kindness. As with the others, looking for more updates. Say I have 14 & 16 y.o. boys, so I let me know what he needs/wants, and maybe I send something your way. My kids outgrow there boots/shoes every 3-6 months. The 16 y.o. is already 6' tall & looking into my eyes. Just PM with some ideas.

Scot and Rob, thank you guys so much for the offers Rob, we will take you up on your offer one of the weekends as you are not that far away ... as far as his needs .... I am not really sure, as my stepson (who is in college) was never really into hunting all that much ..... and never bowhunting. Andrew is into it all :d

this kid loves hockey and football too  .... I think I'm dreaming :d

Dave, his hair is so short because we both shaved our heads .... there is a boy in my school, Andrew's best friend, named Levi who is having his 3rd go 'round with Luekemia:cry: .... he was losing his hair, so Andrew, myself and the other boys in school shaved our heads to make Levi feel not so different ... here is a pic for ya ///
***Disclaimer ... lots of ugly coming from the big guy :d ****

Here is a pic from tonight of Andrew in his room, playing with his Hunter Dan "Action Figure" (he made sure that I didn't call it a doll:busted: )

It is a feeling you can only describe as "grateful". I know how you feel PT. I took in and adopted my one of my brothers daughters and I would take nothing for her. She has called me her "Sweety" from day one. I am grateful, and I am grateful that I know there are others in this world who are willing. Take care.

So, when are you going to start the AFC (Andrew Fan Club) Site? I think since I offered you and him the FIRST hunts, I should be named lifetime member #1! Get busy brother! On the serious side, it's great you have another male in the house to let your manly side come out after living in the house of estrogen.

Andrew had a Sunday School activity today. His teachers and I took him and a few of the other boys in the class on an outing to an archery range. Andrew shot his first compound, and let me tell you, that boy is HOOKED  Scott, he can't wait for that bow ... thanks again!!

Here are some pics for you guys ..

The Range ... you can get up to 50 yard shots here

Good stuff there Tony. Isn't the smile of a child one of the best sites in the world? My little girl can't wait to hunt with me. She cries every time I go out because she wants to go with me. Last week I caught her standing at the back door shooting the deer at the feeder with her pop gun from Cabelas.

Scot, i really appreciate everything you are doing! It was an awesome day with the kids .... they are all hooked! They were bugging me at church yesterday .."when can we go again?" .. "can we do it for a school field trip?" :d

nohillbilly ... there are few sites better than the smile of a child :usa: Moments like that with your daughter really make ya understand how much our children look up to us .... what a responsibility!!!
