I forgot to post on this thread. I didn't get a shot on an elk but had a close encounter the last day. For anyone who hasn't gone elk huntin and wants to do it, make it happen. It was the best experience I have had as a hunter. Those mountains really did something to me. The views were breathtaking and horrifying at the same time. It is something that I plan on doing again very soon. Might even do it again with just a couple buddies and actually "rough" it. Lol we were spoiled in camp. I'm an addict now and must go back.
Reading the updates from you guys killed me while you were out there. Punched tag or not, that trip alone is worth it! I'm shooting for 2016 now hopefully. We'll see.
I haven't heard one person say they wouldn't go back...heck I just spent 2 days there in August for my sister's wedding and I never wanted to leave!
We'll see. 2 years is a bit off still. Hell I already have most the gear bought with anticipation of taking him up on his offer this past year.
