Well a few weeks ago my BRAND NEW Under Armour camo was stollen from my jeep. This weekend, the property owner where I do most of my hunting said some things of his have come up missing and recommended that I check my things as well. Sure enough.....5 sets of climbing sticks are gone. They left the stands, hss lifelines, and HSS straps for my harness on the trees but took the sticks. Looks like ill be hunting limited locations this year as well

Sorry to hear that. I have a deer blind about 100 yards to my property line. Went to throw a little more corn out and durn if the people who hunt the other property puts a blind up. I have been watching the deer and corning them for about 5 months now.. I can't say anything because they are on their property but come on... It's just the lack of consideration. I have 23 acres and they have about 500... Really?

That is a terribly sick feeling!! I've had that happen on a few occasions. You just want to pummel someone that does that.

    Sorry to hear that.

Is it me or does it sound like it may be a non-hunter? Perhaps it is just me but why go through the effort of climbing up to take down all the sticks and not finish the job and get the stand also. Stands are usually worth more than sticks also. Almost seems like somebody who just doesn't want you to be able to hunt.

Man, when it rains it pours! Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

I had a similar thing happen to me in the past - they took my sticks/steps and left the stand because it was locked into the tree. However they did take the strap just to spite me. The stand was only hanging by the cable lock when they were done.

If your stands are not locked maybe they will be back, but they are most likely peta people

That's extremely depressing. One of the worst parts is that you don't know who to take your frustration out on.

Only reason they didnt take the stands is because they are locked on. I have cameras on the property that caught them in their act, but they had face gators on and couldnt even see their eyes. Also got them taking a look at my ladder stands but luckily they are locked to the tree as well and they left them alone. I have notified the police, I doubt they will find my sticks but maybe they can catch them in the act somewhere else. I also notified all of the local land owners to keep an eye out

Any creeks with bridges nearby? If it was anti's they likely aren't going to do anything with them. Stop, toss them off the side of a bridge and go on their way feeling accomplished. They don't want to get caught with stolen property. Only takes a quick stop and glance.

Alert pawn shops and any shops that accept trades.

Other thing that comes to mind is neighboring hunters. They don't want you shooting "their" deer.

Sucks regardless of who it was

All solid advice! Also, given the fact that they were in there wearing face covering tells me They're local and are afraid of being recognized on trail camera.

That really sucks man. Sorry to hear it. Did you have any identifying marks on the stands to symbolize them as yours property.

No, none of the climbing sticks were marked and were just cheap sportsmans guide sticks. I dont think its the neighbors, iv known most of them my whole life and I know the neighbor to the east has had stands stollen last year.
