Hey all, I know there are a number of fly fisherman on the site and everyone here is an outdoorsman, so I thought I would share the crowd funding campaign I put together for the company I work for, Vedavoo (I posted this link a while back but a lot has changed since.) We are still a small / new company but the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013 have been amazing! We are getting a great deal of notoriety within the fly fishing industry - we were in Field and Stream online twice (once for our Tightlines Sling Pack and one of T-shirts was in the top gifts for 2012 for fisherman), Moldy Chum (big online fly fishing blog) said our Sling Pack was the coolest new product at the 2012 International Fly Tackle Dealer show, and we have been featured in a number of other publications in the industry. In 2013, we have traveled to two consumer shows and both were incredible for sales. Between the two shows we sold over 40 of our slings as well as a bunch of our other core packs and gear management packs. The general consensus is a lot of excitement around our gear. The reason we are launching the crowd funding campaign is to raise capital to help us secure an American manufacturing partner that can help support our workshop. Currently our company is two full time employees - myself and the founder, Scott Hunter. We literally build every bag / pack we sell to order, using only materials sourced from the USA. We do it this way because we take pride in American made products and keeping jobs in domestic. Below is the link to our Rock the Post campaign.
