I came across this Browning 6mm made in Belgium from my deceased Step Father. He was in Germany during WWll and brought it back home with him. Does anyone know any history of this weapon?
I can't tell you a lot of history, but I'm betting it's actually a 6.35mm, meaning a .25acp. Probably made in the 60's. And doing a quick search I found these values, take it with a grain of salt, it is the internet. in poor, nonworking condition its worth $50-$100 , in poor condition but still working properly its worth $150-$200 , in fair condition its worth $250-$350 , and in mint perfect condition its worth $400-$500 .
Here is a link that will help your search. If it is a browning it would have been made after WWII according to the Browning site. http://www.browning.com/customerservice/dategun/detail.asp?id=6
According to the serieal # it was made in 1967, thanks Raceway for the link. What the hell he was he doing with it is beyound me, I mean what are you going to stop with that thing, hell the noise wouldn't even scare someone.
Neat little gun. My dad has a little Colt .25 like that. He likes to carry it because he can carry in his front pocket with ease. I like carrying more bang as well, but I bet anyone given the chance, would rather not be shot with even with that gun than continue to do whatever was gonna get them shot. Sometimes the presence of a gun is all you need I guess.
