AMPUT8 (The Big Toe) Team #8

Hard to get out the mindset not following the cams but they tell such a small portion of what’s going on, I had a sit recently I saw 11 deer and coulda killed every one and my cam saw one. Always a good reminder

 

Seen the big nine and another decent buck across the field this evening. I need to move some cameras around but i think i’ll wait until after Sunday(gun season ends) was going to hunt tomorrow but they are calling for high winds, gusts up to fifty five mph. I’ll be out thanksgiving morning.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My target buck showed up last night again. Sometimes i think cell cams spook deer. This buck every time he gets on a cell camera he looks at it and just tell he is on edge. I’ll see if if will let me post the video but i hunted this morning seen [emoji[emoji6]] does. Gonna hopefully be back out Saturday if not for sure Sunday.

1 st day of rifle. A few shots not to many Nothing for me.

12 + inches of snow. It was cold. 30 degrees

 

He daylighted again on the complete opposite side of the property this morning. Then this evening i seen him bedded up on the ridge and he got up and walked away from me. Back at it tomorrow

I don’t know what it is but, every year I catch something from someone right before the opening day of rifle. Sure enough I caught a chest cold from my cousin two days ago. Waiting for that to clear up before I go out

Ugh man that stinks!

 

Well rifle season has finished. I almost got my target buck with the rifle but I guess it’s going to have to be with the bow. From seeing him in person and now him starting to show bk up on camera during daytime I think I know the general area he is bedded on the other property. Luckily no one hunts the other property. I should be hunting most weekends for the next 6 weeks and plan on taking a week off during that time especially if I can nail him down a little more.

Heading out after work. Yesterday I did end up seeing the big 10 across the field, at least I know he is alive. He has been gone since gun season. I haven't been hunting that property cause i thought for sure he got shot. I decided to pretty much do a observation sit last night and it worked in my favor. I seen about 15-20 deer and one was the big 10. I'm gonna make a move on him i think this weekend if the weather works in my favor. I would try this evening but I don't have enough time after work to go where I want to get set up in my saddle.

 

That’s great he’s still around, if you can find where he’s grubbing I think you can get em killed. I saw 30 some deer on Saturday on a green field, the starting to pile in and feed.
