Well i ended up seeing him again tonight and of course he was on the opposite side of the field from me again. Going to try it again tomorrow evening one more time before i give it a break for a couple days. Plus my wife needs a break lol.

And he showed up this morning and of course i’m at work. I’ll be in that stand by that scrape this evening, hoping and praying he comes by.

Hope so, I think I just need to keep sitting in that stand, and I think it will eventually happen. He has gone back to his early October pattern for now until he finds another hot doe. So, hoping tonight he will slip up and come back through.

 

I like it!

 

He just left his bedding area, which might be a good thing so I can slip in there without spooking him since the leaves are dry and crunchy lol.

Got 2 more big ones this morning. 60 lbs and 66.5 lbs! Our biggest one yet! It tops the 65 pounder from 2 years ago. Keeping the local father's happy!

My son really wants a beaver skin hat. Anyone know someone that can make one? We have the pelts.

Just got set up. Very quiet out. Light wind, leaves are crunchy and loud, hopefully i will be able to hear any deer thats coming. Good luck guys! @Logman i trap a lot too, actually have my nuisance license too. Love to trap coyotes and beaver. Biggest we have caught was sixty seven pounds last year but she was full of babies(nuisance job). Never had a beaver hat made but have gotten one tanned before. Local taxidermist may do it or know where to get it done at maybe.

Those beavers are sawweeet! I also trap, mainly fox and yotes.

 

Bow season is about half way through and Rifle season starts Saturday. The weather has been unusually warm. I still have lots more sits, I enjoy the colder sits. Good luck everyone!!

Well I heard the neighbors dogs barking and chasing deer off in the distance so that might have played into and it was warm. Today and tomorrow is gonna be in the 70s

 

Past 2 days I’ve sat in the mornings. Today the same spike came by 3 times. Saw him once the day before.
