22 lr isnt too bad to find. I've just seen signs limiting 9, 40 & 45 to 1 box per person @ my local shop. They had quite a few AR's also, all on consignment. They were in the 1200-1400 range & a stainless mini 14 for $1500

22LR is non existent here as well as the popular handgun cartridges . Oh and .223 is a thing of the past. I was at the gun show last weekend and saw several ARs at different booths. They were priced on average at $2500.

My mom bought me that shelf because it was 'cute'. So we put it up and stocked it. Mom saw it and said "That's not exactly what I had in mind." LOL

For awhile I had a hard time leaving farm and fleet without buying ammo. Buy a couple bags of feed and a box or two of ammo. Glad I did now. I now buy all my feed at a mill, which doesn't sell ammo. :(

Just found Federal American Eagle 9mm 115 grain FMJ 1000 round cases for $309 plus shipping. PM for contact information.

Took some work to find these so I grabbed two of them... Didn't really want to get two, but the time to buy them is when you find them in stock, for that price.

They also had other calibers in stock for bulk cases.

Boy that's tempting. I can't do it now, already bought 1k round of American Eagle 124gr, along with the powder, primers, dies, and 1k 124gr Gold Dots. Wish I had the $$$ to hop on this one right now so I don't have to reload as much.

Just look at it this way, you can get it now... Or hope to find it, let alone with decent prices like this later.

No where around me has 9mm.. No one. We have a ton of local shops as well.

.40 and 45acp aren't all that hard to find here.

.223 and 9mm luger are only in fairy tale land around here.

If you don't mind, what did you have to give for the 124 grain AE?

We actually have 9mm available on the shelves at many places around here. Sure the supply and selection isn't as good as before but we can get it.

I'm hoping by summer this rush is done and everything ammo wise goes back to "normal".

Must have been a shipment come in. Richards & my local shop all had all the pistol calibers available. I didnt look at the little shops prices but Richards were normal. I imagine the local shop wasnt very outrageous, he hasnt jacked up anything else. 223 is still completely unavailable. Although richards did have 5.56

I score on cabelas almost daily. .223 usually posts around 630 in the morning. If it says out of stock you can call and sometimes they still have it. they had a ton of 22lr on there today for cheap. all sold out now. check like 3 times a day. also call your local walmarts. i have been scoring there often too

Are you talking online purchasing or going into the store? Twice now I have ordered and had it canceled due to out of stock;seasonal run. In IL we have to call and jump through hoops to order online.

I hate IL, having to send my FOID and State ID to any place that I could possibly buy ammo from is ridiculous.

Went out locally this morning, everywhere is sold out of .22LR and .223 that I went. Got tired of wasting gas. Picked up 150 rounds of 45acp just so I felt I did something. I imagine anything left on the shelves now will be gone by Monday with all the Deer Classic attendess in town.
