I'm heading out for my first bow hunting trip in 15 years, in October, and I had a few questions for anyone out there that has ever hunted from an Ameristep Outhouse blind. I received one as a gift a few years back and have never actually used it to hunt from, and I was wondering if it would be worth the effort to bring it with on my trip. My questions to anyone that has ever used this particular blind is: 1) Did you have any sucess using it? 2) Did you have to add extra concealment to the blind such as branches or leaves for it to blend in well? 3) Where there any problems as far as drawing and shooting your bow with in the blind? 4) Do you have any tips for me while using it? Thanks for anyones input, wheather you have used the blind or one similar to this make... I appreciate any information that I can get from everyone!
First Blind I ever used and took 2 deer from it as well as a buddy took one last year in it. I just made sure my backdrop (Trees,Ferns,Logs) broke up the outline of the blind. Was a little tuff to draw, my elbow would rub up against the back and my hand was way out the front. Make sure you stake it down as wide as possible so there is no slack in the walls. I also wore all black when in my blinds so I blend in. Good Luck!
