Well I have been meaning to write this up for a while now, just getting around to it.

Recently I purchased an Ameristep Brickhouse 360 hub-style ground blind. With my wife going to be spending her first seasons in the field, I felt that a groundblind would be our best way for her to be comfortable as well as concealed.
I was looking for a groundblind that had the following attributes:
    1. Affordable
    2. Hub-style or easy packing
    3. Large enough for 2 people

I had done some research on various models of blinds and had narrowed it down to either one of the ameristep hub style blinds or a double bull blind.

The doubles bulls are nice, no doubt about it but with my #1 attribute , it didnt quite pass the test. I looked at the ameristep brickhouse and then the brickhouse 360, both were hubstyle but the 360 has a window completely around the blind so that you can configure the windows for any shooting situation. The 360 got the vote.

The blind is very easy to set up and take down. It weighs in right at 20 lbs and comes with a backpack style bag to pack it around with. The material is not quite as tough as a double bull, but for most of my hunting situations it will be plenty tough. All of the windows have shoot through mesh that is easily replaceable and can be zipped out of the way if you do not want to shoot through the mesh. The blind is completely black on the inside with 2 pockets on the side to hold items untill needed. The window flap completely wraps around the blind and is held in place by magnets. The flap is simply pulled down out of the way of the windows you want to shoot out of. This makes for easy "blacking out" of the inside of the blind. It is plenty big enough for 2 people to hunt out of comforably.

I am very pleased with this purchase and hope this helps some of yall looking to buy a groundblind in the furture.

I got a Brickhouse 360 year on sale for $90. It has been a great blind. I'm sure Double Bulls are great but I just can't justify paying the price they bring when there are other blinds that will get the job done for a fraction of the cost.

That was one reason the 360 got my vote. It does the same job as the DB blinds.

Now after you have used this blind for hunting, How do you like it?

After reading your review I am thinking about getting the new Verison of the Brickhouse. The Ameristep Bone Collector!

What has been your experience with this blind?

I used the Ameristep Bone Collector this year. I've not had much experience with other blinds, but this one was easy to set up and take down and had plenty of room for two hunters. Also comes with a backpack style carrying case. Plenty of options for shooting windows.
